Lounge of Justice - Part 90

This day 10 years ago was my join date, and I loved most of my time being a member here.
As a celebration of this special occasion, I must apologize to everyone I've said something wrong or harsh to, cause a relatively recent experience -and some before it- reminded me that I'm still nowhere near as cool headed as our pal @Iceman, among other gentle souls in this lovely online community.
From the writer of Terminator Genisys. Eh...

Congrats on 10 years!! :cwink:

This is the first and hopefully last time I see an actress who looks like Gal and the word "white washing" in the same sentence. The things people find time to complain about. Hope these no-life losers don't end up bullying her out of the role too.

Movie is that bad, huh? Still haven't seen it and the one from last year.
I don't know if it's bad, I need to watch it again to break it down piece by piece to estimate how bad it really is. What I know is I enjoyed it back then, and that they gave Kyle Reese two Wally West moments.

I did rewatch the first and second movies earlier this year, and tone shift (among other things) made sure this is very poorly placed in continuity. You're better off sticking to the James Cameron directed ones and ignore the rest all around.

Haven't seen it. Having the plot twist spoiled from their own marketing just put me off.

I think we've yet to see a good John Conner movie.

Genysis is that bad. Dark Fate though was surprisingly good! Easily the best Terminator movie since T2.

Genisys is the worst Terminator movie bar none.
for me Salvation is the best since T2, at least it did something different.

would make sense to have Chris Pine in a Patty Jenkins film but the backlash would throw him back to 1984 :funny:

The twist is the thing that encouraged me to watch the movie, and I decided against watching Terminator sequels to Judgement Day before that before it cause none of them is of any value.

I think I'll do what Critical Drinker said and ignore that movie.

Ummm, wasn't she Macedonian Greek/of mixed race at best? Don't take me wrong here, but I've never heard of her being black.

Yes, she was Macedonian Greek, a historically white group with olive complexion. She was also a member of the Ptolemaic dynasty that were notorious for their inbreeding in order to preserve their "pure" bloodline. The main source of contention about her ethnicity usually comes from the fact that her biological mother has never been identified. Because of that there have always been speculations the mother could've either been native Egyptian or North African in general, making Cleopatra mixed race but there hasn't been sufficient historical data concerning her background to fully support the notion that she was a woman of color. She certainly did not look like Elizabeth Taylor, but neither Greek women nor European white women in general all look the same.

It's a movie, not a documentary. I mean, they're not going for historical accuracy.

In other words, the movie will be as closer to history as Ad Astra movie was to actual Science.

I'll stick with Gina Torres, please and thank.

thats turturro next to her, are they gonna go with the plotline that she might be carmine falcone's daughter then.
yeah i think so. selina being that close to carmine is no coincidence. carmine also seems to be leaning on to her, like a protective stance.
