Everyone has problems or issues that affect their judgment. Still though... WTF has gone wrong in your life that you are impressed enough by "T.V.'s Chloe Sullivan, from T.V.'s Smallville" that Sex Cult seems like a reasonable option? Were I someplace and bumped into someone that said they were Chloe from Smallville my response wouldn't be, "Wow... She must really be amazing!" It would be, "Oh really? You poor dear. That show sucked."
And where was Tom Welling in all this?
He's at home... Washing his non-existent tights!!
I dont believe Whedon changed the aspect ratio. Zack used a taller, less widescreen aspect ratio for this film and has talked about it in interviews because its more conducive to the IMAX screens that are more square than rectangle. You can see there's a deeper film there with even more character stuff that was cut out. And the character stuff both with what was there from Snyder and what Joss added was the film's big strength. But they edited it way too much. I am honestly surprised in putting it together that Whedon didn't fight more to keep in more material. I had a good time, there are some parts that are amazing but the suits seemed so gunshy from the rending of clothes and gnashing of teeth from the online world that it was paired down to a minimum. And I still feel that Whedon changed the aspect ratio for some reason and it effects the feeling of scope for too many scenes. C'est la vie.
Before this, if she had offered to come back to my place then I wouldn't have turned her down.
Which probably would have been a bad move with the current news.![]()

I love how some folks bring in quotes from my favorite movie these last couple of days. And where was Tom Welling in all this?

Oh you mean the framing, not the aspect ratio. Gotcha. Well I havent seen the film, so cant judge that.Did it feel like there were scenes that werwe just framed differently than others though? The under the harbor and the Superman fight at the monument screamed unadulterated Snyder and they looked differently framed than others to me and it felt like going from a movie scope to the intimacy of TV. AND BEING TV is where Whedon comes from that always made me think those type of moments in the film was what Joss shot.
Yeah, the moments the characters had to shine were great. They were just cut too quickly, and not given any room to breathe. Like the scene between [blackout]Arthur and Mera[/blackout]. That was cut WAY too short, and probably just left most people scratching their heads. But the dynamic was right, and it's a shame it didn't get expanded on. [blackout]Barry and his dad was decent, but we never got a real sense of how terrible their situation is. They touch on the fact that Barry is convinced of his dad's innocence, but gave very little about why that was.[/blackout] Too small a moment, in a film that didn't exactly run long. Still, it was good fun.You can see there's a deeper film there with even more character stuff that was cut out. But, as an aside: [blackout]So are we just not doing anything with Darkseid? I thought that was the whole point of using Steppenwolf. Aside from a passing reference, there was nothing. Did the reshoots and edits just abandon that aspect? Because that would be super dumb. It would mean we had Steppenwolf for... no reason at all. Still, dat dead Lantern tho.[/blackout]
Ive seen those post-creds online. Loved one, hated the other. And based on the other scenes Ive seen online, I feel like thats gonna be par for the course - that Ill love half the movie and hate the other half. So far theres been no in between. So Im half nervous, half excited about seeing it lol.Ooh... I thought you had flick. Sorry.
It's a hack job in terms of editing for sure. You can see that they paired this film down to the minimum. Despite that... I still was entertained. It's just not as cohesive as it could have been and they took out the character texture stuff that could have done nothing but enhance the film as a whole. The suits and John's seem to be more to blame than either Joss or Snyder. Do stay for the post creds.
Found it.
Pretty sure that's the one.
If I could change one thing about the movie, and one thing only, I would:I think every answer is gonna be the same: Editing the **** out of it for no discernible reason with any weight behind it.
If I could change one thing about the movie, and one thing only, I would:
Take the scene showing Steppenwolf's first, failed invasion, and move it from the middle of the movie to the beginning. Kinda like with Krypton in Man of Steel. That scene was awesome, but again way too short. Gadot narrating the story didn't help it flow much better, either. Make it a full-fledged introduction. You have humans, Atlanteans, Amazons, ****ing Gods, and a Green Lantern. I want to see more of them.
When I saw the first Incredibles movie again this year, I didn't care for it that much. I'm sticking to my unpopular opinion that I love Iron Man 3 more than the Incredibles.

Yes, it's definitely coming.So... Aquaman is hitting theatres for sure, right? They've already filmed it? I genuinely look forward to that.

I don't know if that is much of an unpopular opinion as I don't think they get compared too often. I prefer Iron Man 3 to cabbage on pizza for eg.

Cabbage and pizza should never be spoken of in the same sentence.![]()
