I don't think any of the names mentioned (Foxx, Lucas, Norton) will get cast. Likely it'll be someone completely different ...

And why is the Rachel Dawes character necessary? If Holmes doesn't want to return, write the character out.

Yeah, a recast would be dumb and I am kind of wondering who this European mobster might be. But I think Damon would have been pretty good as the role of Dent, but I guess its not such a bad thing that he turned down the role...

1.thatd be suicide for the character. either erase her completely or get holmes back.

2. katie and nolan have both said theyd do another/want her to return, so...

i think damon would have sucked to be honest. hed be a decent dent, but two-face??????Norton would own, Jamie Foxx would suck.

IF Rene Montoya is the love interest they have to go big-either eva mendez or catherine zeta jones.

Just because a terrible actress ruined the character it means the character should be forgotten? At the very least we deserve to know how good the character actually is. Getting rid of Holmes is the first step.

no, but thats unreasonable.

bof is only devoted to batman so obviously a lot of the stuff wont pan out. latino covers all movies so when they DO focus on batman, its oging to be somethign big but itll be very rare.

besides, latino review has gotten joker right and begins script, and possibly this. they bragged about how theyd give us a tdk script review 6 months ago and have not come through yet.

bof broke the news on the batman begins title, what the batmobile looked like, morgan freeman up for fox, holmes for love interest, and watanabe for ra's.

also a lot of you owe bof an apology. Latino Review just confirmed what Jetts been telling us for months, and now a lot fo began to give him **** for. He said someone big was offered the role, but nothing happened. This would be Damon passing on it. He told us Jamie Foxx and Ed Norton and Josh Lucas were of interest weeks/months ago.

they only new "news" they've given us is that rachel as a character s coming back, as jett said several months ago his sources were all saying a no go on holmes. They've given us a list of character's possibly in the movie and if that comes true ill give em props.

but you cant compare a fansite to a movie site.

I say get rid of the character....she pretty much said good bye anyway at the end of Batman Begins......Make Dent the new ADA......

I can't believe they mentioned the same names that Jett mentioned earlier(foxx, norton...)

I called the fact that the only reason that we haven't heard the name for dent is th fact it was turned down( i wasn't the first I know)

I would prefer Wahlburg over Foxx because Foxx is too much of a celebrity but neither of the names mentioned get me overly excited.....

I disagree on what a poster before me said about being happy about Damon turning it down.....I would have prefered Damon over many other Dent hopefuls....

They did say they had the treatment to TDK and the review was weeks away from coming...about 4 months ago.

I hope this stuff is true, I am sure that there is probably a lot supporting the casting of the small roles - however none of those are THAT news worthy right now.

Their information on Rachel Dawes and Harvey Dent is quesitonable at best and are not wild new rumors or speculation.

Meh those accusations mean what exactly ? lots of films from Bond to Indy have had different girls in them each time,only the weak director would pay heed to that and keeping her wouldn't be foolish because she did well IMO and it's dumber to recast so they can keep a small part going

Booyah for no more Holmes. Sorry to say that many liked her character,romantic arc with Bruce and yes many do like Katie's portrayal in BB.

Agreed. I'm tired of there always having to be a love interest. Or at least have the love interest be for another character such as Harvey.

As for bringing back rachel, if there replacing her (of course is this is real) must mean Holmes dosent want to return, and im sure if thats true im sure theres some really good reason to re-cast her (something BIG must be happening to her character)

I have no problem AT ALL with Rachel being re-cast. Katie was perceived as being the weakest link of the first film, so why not improve that part of it?

If Katie returns, fine, if she doesn't, that's fine too. As far as LR is concerned, their credibility dropped into the cellar for me once their so-called review of the treatment never came, so this news is all rumor as far as I'm concerned - even the character's they're saying are in the film.

February should be a good month for news, so let's hope everything shakes out then.

This is the worst news and most worried I've been about this movie yet.

Matt Damon- that's a great goal and direction to go after for Harvey Dent. He'd had been perfect. They would have had to have met with him, talked to him about where they wanted to take the character and possibly let him read a script. Why wouldn't he take it? Was the script or direction bad?

Norton is a good choice but not my first, second, or top five actually. Foxx would be downright disturbing.

Then there is this matter of a recast. What the hell is that about? Did we not learn our lesson from the first four films? Also, the Rachel character is such an easy character to not have in the next film that an unnecessary recast is well, unnecessary.

And why no Penguin? Jet has been pretty sold on Penguin and Black Mask being in this film....I had hopes.
