i think the level of praise and backlash he has recieved have actually evened him out to the talent that he has

imo if actors where put on madden and raited out he would be like an 88

An 88 is fine, however. Some, if not most, people on this board would give him a 68 or lower.

I enjoyed him in Ray, loved him in Collatarel, and thought he was very amusing in Stealth.

Just out of those three, I'd give him a 92.

well, since he was ben afflecks long-time boyfriend and knowing that affleck is a comic-book geek himself I think it´s possible that Damon is just waiting for his own CB-Movie franchise (Aquaman, Captain America, Howard the Duck, whatever...)

I know, and I actually do like the him in 'Ripley' but, maybe it's because he plays fairly unlikable characters, he's not someone I warm to when I see him onscreen. It's a quality I think Dent should have.

I've never disputed Damon's quality as an actor. But he didn't want the part, so it's all moot.
