They're very kindly calling us legacy characters, which is a nice way of saying old-timers. But George I know sort of had that in his head. He later said, "Oh I was just--it was just idle chit-chat." But I remember sometime in North Africa in the first couple of weeks of production of the first Star Wars film, he said, "Hey, what would you think about coming back in Episode," I forget what it was, IX, X, XI, XII, "and you know doing a cameo and handing Excalibur down to the next new hope?" I remember saying, "When would this be?" Now mind you, this is the summer of '76. He goes, "Like 2011."

"As Master Yoda famously said, “there is another Skywalker.” Two others, actually, in pictures taken on the set of the classic Star Wars: Return of the Jedi by Luke actor Mark Hamill. The 35-year-old photos, seen in public for the first time on StarWars.com, show Mark Hamill with wife Marilou and son Nathan as they hang out in Yoda’s Dagobah house, chill with Ewoks, and take turns sitting in the Emperor’s chair.
Hamill mentioned the photos during an interview at Star Wars Celebration earlier this month. Of course, none of it’s canon — Luke married Mara Jade, as everyone knows — but it certainly is cute."

Am I right that the lightsaber I'm the trailer is supposed to be the one he lost in ESB? And I guess it'll need to be in spoilers, but does that mean Luke will have both blue and green lightsabers?

^ It's indeed the ESB 'saber. We know it's a big part of the movie and that various characters are after it, but as far as I know, we don't know how it was recovered from Bespin or by whom.

This story starts before A New Hope, moves on through the original trilogy, and (again, eventually) after Return of the Jedi as well! This entire story is being told from over the shoulder of Luke Skywalker, from Luke's perspective. Because of this, it'll tell stories you didn't get to see.

Good lord, it doesn't need to be in spoilers when it' in the trailer and the studio is making no effort to keep it a secret. It's visibly shown and is identical to the one we've seen in Episodes III, IV, and V. Man I hate how politically correct the world is getting these days.

The first set piece look of Luke Skywalker has finally been leaked. I like that he's gone full circle into becoming in appearance to "Old Ben Kenobi" a regard jedi master. I could cry right now…


The look seems to take from his Grand Master appearance only with an aged beard added .
