The Force Awakens Luke Skywalker - Mark Hamill

I have a bad feeling Luke will be dead before this story is over. He essentially has the role of Obi-Wan now,

Maybe, but unlike [BLACKOUT]Han, Luke can return as a Force ghost if he dies[/BLACKOUT].

I predict Luke dies at the end of episode 9 while Chewie and Leia survive the trilogy

That doll Rey had looked a lot like Luke in his ESB flight uniform.

He has to be Rey's father, he has to be. I understand how they're leaving all possibilities open for now, I just don't see them going any other way.

Him not grabbing the saber conveyed that he was not ready to be a Jedi again. It just looked weird the way she was holding it out to him. She was too far away...

She probably just wanted him to walk down the steps to get it

I'm surprised Hamill got top billing over Ridley and Boyega in the credits...i thought he would have got a "and/with Mark Hamill towards the end of the cast credits like they do with Samuel Jackson, etc...

Not a big fan of Luke's new robot hand. In the next film, I hope they outfit him with something similar to Bruce Campbell's Power Glove hand in Ash vs. Evil Dead.

Or a chainsaw with laser teeth.

Are people sure she's Luke's daughter? I don't think she is going to end up being revealed as that, though I did at first.

Aren't Jedi not supposed to have sex, that was used to show Anakin disobeying that Jedi rule to further become a sith. Though I guess since his kids are both good and Vader ends up saving the day in ROTJ, that could've been changed.

I don't think Luke learned about the abstinence ways of the Jedi. I can't remember Obi-wan saying 'Don't you ever touch a girl, farmboy' :oldrazz:.

Maybe that's why Kylo is f***ed up. Luke and then Snoke convinced him to stay a virgin his whole life and all that sexual frustration just makes him want to kill people.

We'd better watch out. Someday Tim Tebow is going to unleash hell on the galaxy.

It's not the abstinence; it's the emotional attachment to other people.

I hope Rey isn't Luke's daughter. I can't think of a way that could be explained that wouldn't feel shoe-horned in or awkward.

To be fair he has already nailed down the Oscar and it's gone down as one of the best and most complete portrayals of a character in film history.

Honestly don't think Luke makes it out of Ep VIII

Luke Must Not Die Obi Wan Style

I can see them killing off Luke in VIII so that Rey can help redeem Ben and Ben ending up being Leia's ultimate happy ending. With Luke in IX, he'd still overshadow Rey and Kylo.

Well then who's gonna deal with Snoke and complete Rey and Finn's training? Plus there will probably be many more Force sensitives introduced. Who will train them if Luke is dead?

Kylo and Rey deal with Snoke. Luke trains Rey in VIII just as Snoke trains Kylo. Kylo ultimately is pulled back to the light side and helps Rey beat Snoke.

Just one way it could be done to follow the OT formula.

Agreed.

I could definitely see them killing him off, but I'm afraid it would be way too similar to Obi-Wan. I hope we at least see him fighting side by side with Rey.

I'd prefer it if he survives the new trilogy and ends up reopening the Jedi Academy alongside Rey. And I wouldn't mind it if their first student would be Finn :woot:

I wanna see Luke finally go to Toshi station and pick up some power convertors

Only one has ever been turned back from the Dark Side. Anakin. The odds are unrealistic.

Is that really the ultimate happy ending for Leia?
brother dead and husband killed by son but son's good again now (for now!)

Better than if all that other stuff happens plus losing her son. At least she'd have something good happen.
