Robert Rodriguiz is finally doing a movie based on the mock trailer from Grindhouse. Just wondering something for you RR fans. Is this the same character from the spy kids and desperado movie?

Also....what ever happened to the sands of Mexico movie? Johnny depp as the blind gunslinger would have been a awesome movie

^No, its the character from the Grindhouse trailer, will be awesome if they make this, count me in. Although I wish he would do Sin City 2 first.

Maybe this movie can relate to a Sands of Mexico movie. I mean doesn't Rodriguez relate all his original movies to each other in some kind of way? Besides his castings

Danny Trejo was called Machete in the Spy kids movie too. Same actor same name, same director. I'm sure it's somewhat based on that

Same.

I'd never heard of Sands of Mexico before this topic. Sounds like a good idea.

Same here. I would watch it, Johnny Depp's character in Once Upon a Time In Mexico was the only redeeming thing about that film.

I'll believe it when I see it. Rodriguiz seems to get ideas in his head, gets them planned out, but never gets the ball rolling. Sin City 2 isn't happening as far as I can tell. Most of the cast have moved on and just don't care to do it now. Red Sonjia? Is that happening or started yet?

But Machete should be a good film. Based off the Grindhouse character, it seems like a good shoot 'em up, western, biker film. But I'll believe it when it starts filming.

Personally I think he should drop Red Sonja.

I mean really??

I thought he was doing the Jetsons. What's happening with that? He's got like 50 projects in the wings.

"I'm going to be able to shoot my upcoming 'Machete' here, a sci-fi action film called 'Nerverackers,' a re-boot of the 'Predator' series called 'Predators,' and a couple of smaller movies called 'Sin City 2' and 'The Jetsons,'" he told the press.

Looks like he's still working on it, no worries. :yay:

Are you serious? Dude, there is some tid-bit every couple days.

Now all they have to announce is Rob Zombie's Werewolf Women of the S.S., both playing back to back for a "Grindhouse 2" and I'll be extremely happy.

^ Actually I'd much rather prefer Eli Roth's "Thanksgiving."

Machete > Don't > Werewolf Women of the S.S. > Thanksgiving

Psht. Nic Cage as Fu Manchu is better than Eli Roth 'acting' in another movie.

^I disagree. Cage lost his screen presence a while ago.

Eh, Only thing that interested me with Werewolf Women was Udo Kier; A true Grindhouse legend.
