This is a word derived from "giant" and "enormous." Two words that essentially mean the same thing. So why combine them? Can you imagine if we did this with everything? I suppose we should just abandon the English language (and all other languages) altogether because no words are real and just make random sounds at each other that we feel evoke the correct emotion. And if that doesn't work, just throw rocks to make your point.
