Main characters that aren't that likeable

Malcolm is third best, after Grant and Ellie. :o

Also, he was a changed man in TLW, after the events of Jurassic Park.

Speaking of Malcolm.......

Ian was the standout in JP because he had the humor and the genre savvy nature. Grant was cool but kind of one dimensional hero. Basically he was Mr. Fantastic.

Ok, I think I share the view of Peter in Amazing Spider-Man, he is not THAT likable

And the main cast in National Treasure

I like Peter in The Amazing Spider-Man plenty, right up until the final scene. Break a promise you made to a dying man? That's seriously weak.

Psh the man is dead. Screw any promises he makes

He stayed in her room, with the finest sewage aroma on him
And she kissed him, no issue

If it was some other character, it wouldn't bother me. Someone like, I don't know...Deadpool or whatever. But Peter Parker is one of those characters who's nobility and honor are something to aspire to. It just seemed wildly out of character to me, or at least my view of the character.

denzel washington in training day....I HATED HIM SO MUCH

Sam Worthington...well ...in everything

peter in amazing spider-man. I love andrew but he was a angsty hipster prick in the movie and just irritating and as a fan it was painful to sit through.

yes... Being a huge spidey fan that i am..i wanted to walk out of the theater..ALL IN ALL IT WAS JUST A TERRIBLE MOVIE..ONE I VOWED NEVER TO SEE AGAIN

Honestly, I liked Pete in ASM ten times more then the old SM movies. Much more accurate to the character as a whole. Not perfect yet, but definitely moving in the right direction. And rightly so. It's taken them long enough to get Pete right.

To this day, for me, his character is one of only two, who's on-screen death was truly satisfying. A moment where you want to yell at the screen, "Yeah! Die, you f***ing piece of s***!" My other one is Shane, from The Walking Dead. Shane's might actually be a bit more satisfying because, he gets twice!

The three leads in Project X win most annoying and unlikeable lead characters Ive ever seen on film. Was really hoping The Police, drug dealers, neighbors, naked women and "cool kids" just beat the living crap out of them.

Totally agree, watched the movie over the weekend and all the main leads were just awful. They just took all the bad qualities of the sterotypical character without any of the things that made those sterotypes likeable.

You need to read some more Spidey comics. I saw very, very little Peter Parker in Garfield's performance.

I've been reading them for over twenty years, though I'm always happy to read more. Raimi's films, while passable, left quite a bit to be desired in terms of his characterization of PP/Spidey. And they were unforgivabley awful in their treatment of Mary Jane. But I digress. I know we could very easily derail this thread if we continue on this vein.

Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man. The movie in general was just really forgettable.

I agree with the Peter hate in TASM.

Well it was the whole...okay he helped her realize to stand up for herself and do the things she wants to do but she only spent like 2 days with him?

Then she lives many YEARS of a full life, going places, doing things, having children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren. And you would assume with her new attitude on life, she'd be with a good man.

But after ALL THAT, she wants to go back to 2 days she spent with someone? Please.
