I may try and do this tonight, as we all got gift cards at work today for the local supermarket, and I got some free time. I see those damn Boboli pizza shell/crust things all the time, I may try it out. Anybody that's done it, do they usually come out edible, or is it just crappy?

I have made a home made pizza and it was good. I rolled out my own dough though and not the store bought empty shells.

same, all I get is the pepperoni at stores

I'm not the biggest Boboli fan. make the dough yourself. It's not too difficult, and the taste will be superior.

There's a dude at my church that makes pizza completely from scratch (he even grows the damn veggies in his backyard! :ikyn), it turns out AMAZING.

If I had the time and patience, I would grow my own veggies.

The best way to make pizza is to make your own dough, and then stretch it out on the table. Give the kitchen table or counter a good scrub down with soap and water, and when it's dry cover it with flour. Then, take the dough ball and start kneading it into a big circle. If you're careful it shouldn't make too much of a mess. There are some tutorial videos on youtube that should give you a hand.

I make my own pizza quite often..it's very good if I do say so myself :)

I believe I know the brand you speak of and we randomly will make them at the house, they turn out good. Very simple around here though, I'm a pepperoni only person and the wife likes just cheese.

I would like to make on though and make my own dough.

I remember as a kid my mom would buy the Chef Boyardee Pizza hits and those were good, really small but good, the sauce is greatness

I used Boboli when it first came out, made my own pizza a couple of times. I just wasn't impressed with the results and have never done it again. I would like to make some flatbread pizza, gourmet style.

I'd love to know a recipe for good home made pizza base, everytime i try it comes out tasting like cake.

That's not as tasty as it sounds.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had was crafted by my own two hands!

I actually just did this for the fist time last week. Came out yummy.

In my experience, making your own pizza just simply doesn't measure up to the quality from the big pizza brands.

That's why I stopped trying a while back.

The pre-made pizza doughs are ok, but it's SUPER easy to just make one yourself. Homemade pizza is so much healthier than delivery...if you make it using the right ingredients, you have no reason for even feeling like you're eating fatty food at all.

Another nice thing about homemade pizza is spicing it up with your favorite foods. Feta cheese, artichoke hearts, and spinach can be super yummy. Or, if you prefer meat on your pizza, buy whatever variety you like!

Talking of pizza....i once had a chocolate pizza. I loved it but everybody else hated it.

The recipe I used the last 2 times I made pizza had a problem of coming out dry and bland, like that flat bread you get at communion (depending on the church, I guess). It was more like a soft cracker than bread, which was a little disappointing. With the best pizza crusts I've had, the crust is almost like eating a bread stick because it's nice and fluffy, not hard and flat. Maybe it's because the recipe uses quick rising yeast instead of the regular kind.

Thats totally what i was going for but keep getting this flat cake like substance that does not taste altogether horrible, but not like pizza either.

Homemade pizzas, if done right, can be orgasmic.

Boboli is okay. Main thing with it is sometimes the toppings don't get as done as the crust does. Since I'm on a diet, I load my pizza up with lots of veggies and turkey pepparoni, low fat mozzarella and a thin layer of sauce. If you like thin crust, Mama Mia brand has a nice crust as well.

Remind me to put ambiens in your food.
