Man in suit for Hulk.

You know why alot of people hated the movie. It's a combination of things,it's the CGI(they made him too big,he was the size of a building),it's because they had Hulk jump way too much, and they had him run like he had super speed, the origins wasn't any good, the villain(origin of the villain, and the character development)sucked.

They shouldn't of had the Hulk run like he had super speed, they should of had him run at the pace of a regular person. The jumping thing, they should of used it sparingly(2 jumps max). The CGI itself would of been acepted if they would of had Hulk not pass the 10 foot height limit.

Alot of people hated this movie, because it felt more like a Godzilla movie rather than a superhero movie.

Alot of people watched the Hulk live t.v. series, and there was nothing familiar with that character from the show.

They should of just showed Bruce as a scientist who gets hit with the Gamma ray,and they should of showed how he got a flat tire on his way home in a rainy night. He hurts his hand fixing the flat, gets mad, turns into the Hulk, and destroys his car.

^That would of been something at least familiar for moviegoers, and with the technology we could of seen him crush the car pretty good, and we could see him throw it.

And a CGI Hulk would of been very cool for moviegoers if he was 10 foot max, jumped 2 times max,no running in super speed, and if the villain would of had a good origins story, and the Hulk vs the army could of been good too if they used ^those methods.

I thought some people hated HULK because it was boring..

some posts in here are just stupid

boy you just spoke 7 volumes of stupid

GoldGoblin, you should pick up some copies of the comic sometime and give them a read. For most fans on this board, the TV Hulk is not the definitive version but a watered down version of the comic.

Someone buy this man a drink. Am I the only one that thinks the show's HULK was a *****? I love Lou, hated the show though.

You do know he can run fast and jump high in the comics right? That's like saying Spider-Man should swing around on his webs no more than two times in one movie. Or Superman should only fly twice.

^I've never read a Hulk comic,I watched the t.v. series. So the Hulk can run at high speeds like the Flash?

So if this movie was just like the comics, then how come there changing things for the next one?

GoldGoblin, Hulk can do everything he did in the first movie AND more. That was one thing that no one will argue about they did right.

The T.V show was tird compared to the comic, i dont want a repeat of that.

To make it more like the comic. Ang Lee got a lot of things right. He also messed up a few things. Hopefully, they build on those things that were right and we'll get a Hulk movie that everyone will enjoy.

No where near as fast as Flash. As well as jumping, he can jump hundreds/thousands of miles in a single bound. Those legs are as strong as his arms. Don't discount the Hulk. :hulk:
As for changing things, these are things that don't involve how Hulk behaved(power wise) but how they chose to show it, and what other parts of the character were or weren't exhibited as well as how the story was told. Action wise Zak Penn has said he liked the desert sequence. So I hope they atleast try and keep up with what Ang did. I'll be disappointed if they fail to do so.

Actually in that "Incredible Hulk feats of strength" thread over on HM forums HULKSMASH posted some panels where Hulk has jumped as far as I said. :p
Remember that thread? Was cool, he even posted all those panels that resembled scenes in movie(with regard to all the action scenes). Showing the film did take more from the comic than first thought. :) :marv:
A shame the thread is essentially dead now. :(
For those that missed it: http://www.hulkmovie.com/vb/showthread.php?t=644 :hulk:

No, he can't run as fast as the Flash. The Flash has gotton up to the speed of light. According to the DVD specials he can run 300 mph. The comics have only said that he moves like lighting, or that it's amazing how fast he moves being so big. It's never actually said how fast he can run in the comic, just that he can do it fast.

And I didn't say the movie was like the comics. HULK wasn't much like the HULK from the comics. He had all the powers, but he wasn't the same "HULK SMASH!" HULK from the comics. I'm sure the next one will be much more of a action super hero movie, and less of a drama.

Does it say "only" three miles? It depends on how angry he is.

It's not like it was even watered down, it was 35 minutes of Fugitive derivitive 70's television, with 10 minutes of a monster throwing props and stuntmen around.

90% of the first films problem is that most people never read a Hulk comic, but they seen that damn TV show. Avi the first time around should've distanced themselves in every way shape and form from it, and focused on the Hulk from the comics as inspiration for the public.

HELL NO! You can´t do Hulk justice with a guy in a suit, it would look incredibly bad and would almost certainly make sure that TIH would flop big time!

The Hulk is bigger then live and you just can´t capture that with a guy in a suit. For prove just look at Thing in the Fantastic four movie, sure he was played ok but he never seemed all the big and powerful in the movie, plus his movements became slower and more ackward.

CGI all the way!
You had me at HELL NO!
