I'll tell you my numbers right now i said BB type of numbers.

BB had a much smaller budget than SR though, so in that sense it's a bigger success than SR. With BB they were spot-on with the budget and delivered the goods. With SR however they over-spent and under-delivered.

I know batman was a good movie they did fine with a lower budget and delivered.

and i gotta say this as much as people hated FF. it only cost about like a little over 100 million and made just about half it's money back opening week with a 56 million opening week total onto a 330 million worldwide total. So i think it would be funny if "one of the worst comic book movies ever" made more than supes worldwide total that is.

I am not talking with you, but I have already said that you were right, isn't this enough?

ok since ''supes'' didnt make that big payday..it was thought it could make...is it considered ''a flop''

Possibly, especially if it doesn't make a profit.

it's a flop in the sense that it didnt make that big pay day everyone thought it was gonna make. but the word of mouth on this is a lil split down the middle. with new films opening up, i dont see good legs for the film. yeah it's a flop. of course fanboy's are going to hang on to that little thread of hope and bring up the opening weekend numbers "it made 84 million dollars opening week hows that considered a flop?" because everyone was expecting big money like revenge of the sith big money, they were expecting praise left and right, people were expecting the film to be held the biggest grossing film in history. guess what? it's not.

I've cheated by voting now that SR's preliminary figures have been released. :p Can't see Pirates doing worse.

Just out of curiousity...are Trilligors and Cinemaman going to admit they were wrong?

It's only at 75% on RT. For a movie that's supposedly that brilliant. That ain't too good

come on don't lie you know you did.:)

If I said that I was wrong, it doesn't mean that I cryed :o

I am Superman fan, but nothing cant make me cry, even if the movie, to which I was looking forward many years makes low numbers, I will not do that.

I was honest with you and said that you were right. Thats all.

Everyone says BB was brilliant, and it only got 83%. Sin City, Batman89, and X-Men all only got 80%. That may not be on the level of brilliance, but it certainly ain't bad.

Thats's why Supes ran away. those horrible sequels. he still thinks richard prior was after him.

You are right. The same problem was with BB, because people didn't forget Schumacher's movies.

But looks like BB2 is going to make very huge box office. Of course it will not make $300m, I'd say $250m most likely.

Kudos Cinemaman. I don't compliment you often, but it takes balls for someone to admit they were wrong.
