W/e... survivorman starts in a few weeks... Bear will be back late 2007/2008... they are wrapping up filming the third season soon... I wanted to check out 2057 but never got a chance... anyone know when they air that show?

I don't know when 2057 will repeat, but really I say the next time it's on watch it.

Wow, I didn't expect to read that. But still, it doesn't change my view on the show. Bear is ther to show us how to survive, and it's not like the show is anything like Survivorman.

Anyone that couldn't tell that just from watching the show is just plain moronic.

I don't watch this show for education (survivorman is the one for that) I watch because it is quite humorous. Some of the stuff he does is so plain stupid it is just funny.

I always thought it was pretty obvious that some of that stuff was set up. In the credits it lists a survival expert, a fixer, and it credits Bear as a presenter. Still an enjoyable show though!

Oh no, lol i'm not devistated at all by it. It's ok with me, if he does all that. He's just there to show us how to survive and of course he does all his own stunts.

Not suprised though. It's purely entertainment to me. And it's also no suprise there are Bear haters out there trying to **** with all the publicity/success he's getting.

Are you sure Les is alone? Yes, I know it shows him carrying his own camera, but sometimes there's episodes that show him walking a far away distance, and a camera is filming him. Does he set the camera to do that or is there in fact another person filming him?

Are you sure Les is alone? Yes, I know it shows him carrying his own camera, but sometimes there's episodes that show him walking a far away distance, and a camera is filming him. Does he set the camera to do that or is there in fact another person filming him?

He actually complains about having to set up shots and going back to pick up the camera in a few episodes.

SURVIVAL expert Bear Grylls faked a bear attack by getting a colleague to dress up as one in fancy dress, it was claimed yeterday.

The star of TV’s Born Survivor was filmed creeping out of a tent in a bear-infested forest, nervously looking at a shadow moving a few yards away.

Back inside shelter Grylls, 33, says: “It might well have moved away, but sure as hell it knows I’m here.”

But an adviser for the Discovery Channel documentary, shown on Channel 4 last year, claimed the sinister shadow was a fake.

Ron Hood said programme makers asked him to find a bear suit when plans to hire a tame grizzly for the shot fell through.

Mr Hood added: “They decided they wanted to somehow dramatise the attack on the shelter.”

A Discovery spokesman insisted that the pantomime outfit was hired as a prank by the crew — and no footage which included the bear costume was broadcast.

Last week it emerged Grylls does not sleep rough in the woods during episodes of Born Survivor but instead stays in hotels.

yes in the begining, les stroud actually showed himself walking back to get the cameras after one of those 'walking shots' you talked about. sometimes he would just say, well im going to abandon that camera, because it was too cold or too hard to get to. trust me, he is the real deal. bear is a piece of ****, hes just 'better looking' and thats all hes got going for him.

Well that sucks. I like both shows, but particularly Man vs. Wild because of Bear's attitude toward life and his spirit. The guy has gone through some amazing things, but if it's not really authentic it kinda bugs me. Oh well, I've still got Deadliest Catch to look forward to.
