at the end of the video this conservative says "look I already got to teach my kid about alcohol and cigarettes, and now you want to legalize marijuana so I got to teach them about that too? NO NO NO!"

I say what an idiot. Just because it's illegal doesn't mean his kids aren't going to be pressured into doing it. IN fact it being illegal makes it easier for kids to get it, because drug dealers don't care how old you are.

For the vast majority of teenagers its 10 times easier to get marijuana than it is for them to get alcohol.

i bet you that same parent that doesnt want to teach his kid about drugs doesnt know that he spends hours playing grand theft auto

The only harm that marijuana poses is if you're on a diet and you get a major case of the munchies.

even then, it speeds up your metabolism, which could help balance it out.

anyone else find it Ironic that Tangled Web made a thread about groping a girl that was blissed out on E or something, and Is now all outraged at the Idea of legalizing Mary Jane?

Marijuana should not be legal. No way.

I used to smoke it all the time. Now I smoke it occasionally. By opposing marijuana legalization, that means you suport the government punishing me for it, which really means you just wished harm on me, when I didn't do anything to harm you or anybody you know.

It is a civil rights issue, a federal budget issue, and a common sense issue.

We spend ridiculous amounts of money by having it illegal, when we could be saving that money and bringing in massive amounts from taxing it, when either way people are still going to be doing it.

The criminlization of marijuana causes more harm to the user than the drug itself. Imagine you have kids, whom you wish not to use drugs, because you feel it will hurt their life. Guess what, with it being illegal, that means it will harm their life even more, and the chances of them using it will be the same whether it's legal or not.

Why continue to fund gang activity and corruption of our borders by keeping it illegal? Because by keeping it illegal that's what were doing. Were providing funding for criminal behavior and not just drug smuggling, but illegal immigrant smuggling.

It's common sense, and it's going to happen soon.

how did you come to this well informed stance?
Considering it alters brain function. Look at some studies that link weed to shizophrenia and other mental illnesses.

other studies say it's not harmful at ALL.
and, well, Music alters Brain Function there Mr. Thought Police.

i honestly dont see it happening soon. that would just make things to easy. pharmaceutical companies would lose money. and the disintegration of the border war would mean less funding for governmental bull**** that lets them oppress certain minorities and keeps "The Man" getting richer. Legalizing it would mean the release of countless inmates. the u.s. government is to proud of its laws. i dont see it ever happening to tell you the truth. it keeps to many politicians rich.

It should remain illegal.

Yes, I am a Nazi.

I think five ounces or so is legal from where I'm from. So yeah.

Legalizing marijuana has nothing to do with civil rights.

Lets say it's legal.
You're walking down the street and a bunch of people are smoking pot in public view. They keep smoking and smoking. People walk by and catch the fumes. Someone who wasn't smoking starts to drive and his reaction time is messed up as a result of the smokers. He gets into a car accident and people are killed.

actually it helps prevent mental illnesses. Yes it alters brain function. That's what people like about it. However it does not kill brain cells, and the effects it has on your sobriety are minimal when compared to alcohol.

You know cigarettes and caffeine alter brain function as well. Every effect marijuana has on your brain is temporary, except for the mental illness prevention. That's long term.

There are so many benefits that comes from the legalization.

With it legal, the government can dillute it and make it less potent, they can collect tax dollars on it, prisons would become less full, and without the taboo of it, user rates would drop.

The downside: We're a moral country and god says no!

There really is only one choice here. Lets get off our high horses and legalize it.

Marijuana should like totally be legal, like totally.

most people caught for possession of marijuana don't go to prison or jail. And if you were caught while it was still illegal than your sentence wouldn't be effected.

And you think normal or other corporate investors who want to make money off pot wouldn't pay politicains as well?

But it is true, the drug companies would lose money, and seniors would save money.

If legalized it would have the hell dilluted out of it to the point where the smoke is not even potent anymore. Besides, like smoking is quickly becoming, chances are it would only be legal within your home. Just as you are not allowed to walk down the street drinking a bottle of Jack's similiar laws would be made.
