no i dont want to pay them for it, I was hyped but now not at all i really cant see myself buying it, might borrow it off a mate for a week just so i can try it, but tahts it

has anyone seen if gaming stores have this on demo yet instead of smash bros......usually nintendo will change it up right before the game comes out. probly mid next week or right on sunday or monday when it comes out......... i work at best buy and we couldnt demo smash bros till that sunday. probly the same with mario kart...

Havent seen anything related to SSBB yet. Shame, Nintendo hasnt even given us a release date. Screw that, Europe always gets shafted.

The US had to wait, what? 2 weeks? 3 weeks at most for Mario Kart? We're waiting more than months and we havent gotten any report when it'll get here.


This might be just me, but i'm getting really frustrated by the unbalanced 150CC Wii/Retro Cups ... be in first place and get bombared with Blue and Red Shells ...

yep i turned my wii off out of frustration after coming 11th because I got bombed when i was jumping just before the finish line

Dry Bowser should be the hardest unlockable ... Daisy is easy, just win the 150CC cups. Although I've heared playing with a Gamecube Controller makes things ALOT easier.

how do you get dry bowser? only people I have got so far are diddy kong, king boo, and rosalina

Your having trouble on 150cc retro cups?

Wow, I feel completely awesome.

I think you unlock rosalina if you have SMG save data on your wii, after a few matches she becomes unlockable.

To get dry bowser you need to get 1 star in all 150cc wii cups. I assume thats in mirror mode, too.

Its not that I'm having trouble ... and I keep getting first place but when I'm first place its incredibly HARD to keep it.

How did you do it? Care to give me some tips?

Performing tricks and finishing first every lap ... on the 150CC Wii-Cups its like, impossible

OK so the wheel is much harder than the normal controls.

I like how they split the time trials into the wheel and the nunchuk.

Much harder to get it done using the wheel imo.

Mario Kart Tops Charts in Japan
PSP tops hardware charts as PS3 sinks below 10,000.

April 18, 2008 - With 593,576 units in its debut week, Mario Kart Wii was the biggest game in Japan this past week, pushing Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G into second place after two weeks at the top.

But Capcom's PSP smash didn't do too bad either. Media Create's software chart for April 7 to April 13 has it at 221,781 units. The game has now topped the 1.59 million mark, prompting the question, where's the press release about two million shipped, Capcom?

The rest of the top 10 was all old. Coming in at third was Warriors Orochi Maou Sairin (Koei, PS2, 55,506 units), followed by Wii Fit (Nintendo, Wii, 31,325), Pokemon Ranger Batonnage (30,159), Tottado (Bandai Namco, DS, 26,109), Pro Baseball Spirits 5 (Konami, PS2, 21,510), Star Ocean 2 Second Evolution (Square Enix, PSP, 17,591), Deca Sporta (Hudson, Wii, 17,171), and Smash Bros. X (Nintendo, Wii, 14,297).

Mario Kart may have topped the software chart, but it didn't do too much to spur Wii hardware sales. The PSP was once again at the top this week with 85,721 units. DS Lite came in at second with 47,158 units, beating the Wii's 46,296.

The PS3 pulled off another shocker this week, dropping into four digit territory with 8,232 units. Below it were the PS2 at 6,834 units and the Xbox 360 at 1,147 units.

jeeeeeeeez 360 does terrible in japan despite it clearly being better/having better games than the ps3.....psp is seemingly doing well tho!

Well, finally finished the game. All cups 1st place but getting all stars on the 150CC Wii-Cups is gonna be soooo hard.

Weird thing is ... I finished 1st, 2x 2nd and 1 time 4th and I still got a star-ranking on one of the RetroCups. If I do the same on a Wii-Cup I'll get an A ranking and thats it.

Dry Bowser is THE Unlockable to have... unfortunatly its obtained by finished the 150CC Wii-Cups with 1 Star or more on every cup ... its insane really.

I don't think im even going to bother with smash brothers anymore theyv p******Ed me off too much with this ridiculous delay

I am the same, I am not even hyped anymore.

I only managed to finish the 100cc on MKwii, but the game is so unfair if you are 1st. I am ranked 8437 online thanks to using the bullet bike and my mii and staying 2nd until the last lap (to avoid the blue shells). The best thing about using bikes are the wheelies, which is unfair on players using karts/cars.

MKwii is okay, but it is frustrating, sometimes being in the top 3 is based on luck and the new levels are too complicated.

Online is good, but the track selection can be unfair especially with level spammers who pick the same track over and over again (if I play Luigi's circuit one more time online, I will cry )

I prefer using the nunchuck and remote, specially for performing stunts. I discovered that flicking the remote constantly when a POW is used against you will make you recover faster.
