I thought this was good overall and the end scene was really intense. Although the accent work was a bit spotty in comparison to Mare. In Mare, Winslet and some of the other characters had that Philly/Eastern-to-Cantral PA dialect down really well. In Task, a few of them sounded like they were doing Baltimore accents. Having lived in both areas, there are definite similarities (and they’re not far apart so there is certainly overlap) but there are some key differences. Not a huge deal but it took me out of it a bit.

I also found that moment where the one field agent gave her personal email address pretty cringe. I mean, come on. You’re an FBI agent and you didn’t send your commanding officer your official FBI email? Huh? I hate when shows do nonsensical **** like that just to make a character look dumb or incompetent.

Im wondering how it was the kidnapped kid had no clue about stranger danger and just willingly went along with the crew. Even poor kids know better.

Yeah I initially thought they killed the kid when I saw Pelphrey carrying him because I didn’t believe the kid would have just gone to sleep with complete strangers. I thought he would have been awake and scared out of his wits.
