Well considering Amy Pascal says she wants this one to end with closure to the series in case there is not a second trilogy and the whole movie has been about the struggling relationship of Peter and Mary Jane (I really do hope they're problems stem from Pete not being there for MJ and just not flirting with Gwen in SM3 as that has been a great aspect of their later relationship)....

well it just would make sense to end it with them settling their problems and getting married....mostly likely on a hill instead of city hall given the more than subtle foreshadowing in SM2. It would be a nice closing scene wit hPeter maybe giving a voice over before another epic swinging sequence, this time perhaps coming home to MJ instead of swinging away.

Perhaps, like are you talking about have a voicover of their marriage like the priest and what not as he's swinging? Cause I wouldn't mind that. But the movie should end with the Venom running away from the battle royale than MJ goes home and asks "Peter is that you?" Than have Venom's eyes just appear and he says "I'm home" than his mouth appears and the camera swooshes into his mouth.

While I do want to see the marriage play out in a way similar to the way you described it.... I also think that right now, SM3 is too early to have Peter and MJ get married.

The lovestory is a major part of the dramatic element of the movies, and rushing it too much would hurt that.... I think they should let the relationship mature more first.... get over a few more hurdles, just to prove how strong it is, and then do the marriage probably around the last movie, as something of a "climax" that the series has been building up to.

I like the priest voice-over idea but would agree with Dr.dude, I would like to see the sacrafise element take it's toll in their relationship..

But....isn't Sony kinda' making this the last movie. I know they are leaving the door wide open to do up to three more but they kinda' what on loose threads from the first two to end (that includes Pete and MJ cementing their bumpy relationship which will continue to be bumpy in this movie) at the end with the possibility of more exploration. I would say it is a little early for Venom with Harry unresolved so you never know though.

I feel this has a more likely chance of happening than Lizard so I think it deserves a bump then.
