Martin Campbell is Directing Green Lantern

I really don't see anybody else other than Pine or Worthington. I don't like Duhnmal for the part. But Pine follows the age better in the script.

Whoever they choose, we'll complain, but later on we'll be like, "there is NO one better to play him than *insert actor they chose here*.

Worthington bears the classic Hal look. My only worry is if he can pull off Hal's cocky atitude. I know Pine can.

The thing is though, he could pull off like ANY superhero. His look is too generic. I wouldnt be dissapointed if he were cast, in fact, I'd be happy, but the thing is, he's so generic looking, and Pine for GL seems like RDJ for IM or Heath as Joker.

Like Worthington never comes off as anything but the typical talented guy in his interviews...he has no spark to him.

Terry, how dare you say that.

Like many here, I've literally not seen anything with Worthington in yet I'm absolutely convinced that the guy could very well be Sir Lawrence Olivier incarnate.

:cwink:

Sarcasm detected! :wow:

Honestly, you need someone that kinda comes off as a smarmy, yet square jawed type to play Jordan. Worthington is good, but I sense he'll just play him kinda straight. Downey as Stark, as much as we complained, was genius on Favs' part.

I don't know, when it was announced that RDJ would play Tony I was like "hey, that COULD work" and it did. I think a lot of people complained about his previous drug and alcohol problems a decade ago bringing baggage to the movie, but he surprised a lot of people.

I'd agree that Hal Jordan needs to be played by an RDJ-type, someone who can elevate the material and put a unique stamp on Hal.

However, at this stage, there is no particular actor I'm backing to fill that role. I liked the idea of Jon Hamm for the role, but he's about a decade older than what they're going for. So I'm just gonna wait and see who WB gets...

Ah, you hit it right on the head, Worthington is generic looking. He just looks too perfect to me.

And I think Changeling means he looks too generic looking in terms of comic book heroes how they just look sculpted and perfect.

I still never got why peopple hated it at first. I thought, "He's perfect. With his past that's exactly what we need to bring to the role. It makes it more believable. And then I saw him in Zodiac and thought yes, he's perfect.

Oh, and I didn't really know where to put it, but when the WB logo comes on, I don't think it should be a simple green palette.

It should be maybe a silver or the regular colored logo and it would be sweet to see a green light flashing behind the WB symbol. Just steady beats, like it's powering up. Think in POA when Harry is practicing.

SAM is this type of actor where..I'm sure he's talented and FREAKIN' mysterious because I haven't seen one movie from him yet..

..but on looks alone, he doesn't have a distinct look.

Yeah. He just looks like a comic hero. I dont really like that as much as making an actor make the role his own because they have to make up for not looking dead on like the character.

I'll wait till TS to have my final judgement. I'm really looking foward to his performance.

I would like to see the Warner logo emerging from green flames against a black background. :woot:

Be cool to see the camera zoom into the logo with the opening shot of the film into space.

Yeah, I get kinda excited for stuff like that. I always think that the first shot needs to be damn impressive. Because once you have that first shot, and it works you have the audience. It's the SW affect really.

Me too.

I always tough each DC movie should have a different Warner/Legendary/DC Comics logo introduction.
