Civil War Martin Freeman Cast as Everett Ross

The only problem I would have with him as Osborn is his height. Freeman is only 5'6'', and Norman Osborn is someone I always imagined as being tall and physically imposing. Nonetheless, I'm sure he could pull off the intimidating qualities regardless.

Henry Peter Gyrich would be my vote as to who he's most likely playing. I don't think he really fits Osborne. Mar-Vell is an intruiging proposal, though. He'd nail that role.

That seems far less likely. Osborn is a noted weapons manufacturer and in the comics was part of a major plot involving the fallout from the governments attempts at registering heroes, which he played to his own ends.

It's probably NOT him but at least from a logical storytelling perspective, you could easily work in Osborn in a plot about Superhuman Registration.

I have no idea at all what a cosmic superhero like Captain Mar-Vell would be doing in Civil War.

This. Black Panther is in full effect, Freeman is a clear and present fit for Everett Ross, while you guys will be arguing about ways the diminuitive soft spoken Freeman can somehow be Norman Osborne until the movie comes out.

It's also possible he could be a lower key version of Henry Peter Gyrich or even potentially that Ross could play a government lackey type role here for Iron Man.

I'd be honestly surprised if Martin Freeman was Captain Britain. I mean are people just suggesting that because he's a famous British actor? Surely they'd look to an actor more in line with Chris Evans' physique to cast as a hero like that. Not saying Freeman can't be a hero (or villain even), but he should at least halfway resemble the part.
