Civil War Martin Freeman Cast as Everett Ross

Just because an actor is a fanboy fave doesn't mean he's suited to every ****ing role out there. Common sense.

I'm fine whoever he plays dudes a great actor, I don't like pigeon holing actors and saying they can't do this or that. Talent is talent.

LR is saying he is playing an interrogator

I think it unlikely that he's just cast in a small role. He'll probably be the Ulysses Klaue/Andy Serkiss of Civil War: Small role here, but sets up a larger appearance in a later movie.

Speculation is that we will be Evertt Ross

The speculation is that he will play this character both in CW and later in the BP solo movie.

Have anyone of you guys read the leaked outline?

If he is Everett Ross, how was his American accent in Fargo?

His accent was very good, but it was a very heavy accent as well (Minnesotan?), which might be easier to do than the standard American one.

Isn't Henry Peter Gyrich owned by Fox because he appeared briefly in the first X-Men movie?

Exactly, Peter Gyrich first appeared in an Avengers comic book and was the U.S. Government Liaison to the group.

It's probably another Wanda/Pietro situation.

Please be playing Dormammu please be playing Dormammu. Lol

Maybe he will be someone goofy like Abner Jenkins as The Beetle.

As much as i love outside-the-box casting, Freeman as Norman Osborn just doesn't even seem plausible to me. If that turned out to be the case, I'd be very curious to see what kind of audition he gave that made them go that direction, but I really don't think that'll be the case.

He's almost definitely someone like Everett Ross.

Baron Mordo? what does iron fist have to do with this?

Looks like Marvel is starting a new trend: announcing in their casting press releases the casting of the actor, but not who the actor is playing. They did this when Rosario Dawson was cast in Daredevil and we had to wait until New York City Comic-Con months later to find out who she was playing (Claire Temple) and they did this to Daniel Bruhl (who they have not officially announced that he's playing Baron Helmut Zemo).

I bet they do this with Chiwetel Ejiofor if he's announced for Doctor Strange, they announce his casting in the film in a press release, with Kevin Feige saying good things about him, but not announcing his character in the film.

It's probably going to be an annoyance.
