Marvel Get's Hulk Rights Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get Eric Bana now while he isn't busy, and, after checking out 'I Robot' (Sava mentioned it elsewhere) get Alex Proyas locked in too.

I bet I could argue that Batman and Robin made Warner Brothers $300-400 million as well with toys, DVD/video, and worldwide BO as well if I stretch hard enough.

And another Batman movie was released huh? Though I know for certain the toyline surrounding Batman & Robin's release had nothing on the Hulks toyline which beat out the original Spiderman's line.

Do you come here specifcally to argue with Hulk fans ?

Yes it was. It was released eight years later and it was not a sequel.

I am a Hulk fan.

you seem to forget that B&R was hated by everyone while Hulk was not.

Yes Vileone, B&R probably did earn WB a lot of money as well, but it was hated by literally everyone! Hulk has quite a large fanbase considering the movie didnt do the best, and i know that i and quite a few others on here are dedicated Hulk fans.

Whats the point in coming here to bash the movie? If you are a Hulk fan and were dissapointed in the first movie, then talk about the potential sequel, i just dont understand it. I've stopped going on the FF board for the first movie because i have said what i have to say about it. Yes i go on the sequel board because i hope the sequel will be better, but even then i dont go on it much, i dont see the point.

I'm just being realistic about a "sequel" unlike some people.
My prediction is that it won't happen.

^ That's just nonsense. Now if you said I don't think it'll happen in 5 years I could understand that remotely. Or if you said I don't think it'll be a direct sequel more of a separate story...I could understand that. There will be another Hulk movie and it is at this moment in time Marvel's 100% top priority to get to the big screen. That doesn't mean it'll happen first. That means they're getting together top talent to write, direct, and star in this film to make sure the franchise survives on film to be a catalyst for the Hulk video games and merchandise which dwarfed X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Batman.

I never said there won't be another Hulk movie.

I just said there won't be a sequel to the first one. That's my prediction.

Well i suppose we'll just have to wait and see. But Marvel said that they are financing and developing the sequel, with Universal distributing, not so long ago. So it wasnt the same news we were always getting, it was a little different.

But marvel need to give us more info soon, or people will stop coming on the Hulk boards. If it wasnt for quite a few fans still coming here regularly, i think SSH would have closed this board a while ago.

you know, i dont really think we'll hear anything about Hulk 2 untill october something, cause thats when Bana's next film is coming out :(

I don't think Bana's gonna be in this one. I really don't and it be better for Marvel not to resign him unless he signs on for 2 more pics. I'd rather get a new quality up and commer now to sign for 3 pics then deal with Bana bad mouthing the franchise and talking down to it. Not as if it brought him into the "LIME" light or nothing. Kind of ungrateful though at least he backpedaled in his last few interviews and wasn't negative.

when has he ever been negative?

He's not been outright negative more of a distancing himself from the project as if he's too good for it. So yeah he's been negative. Kind of like he's beyond that and doesn't want to do it. Like I said though his last two interviews were more neutral.

I wouldn't say he thinks he's better than it. He's just moved on. Now he's the lead role for Steven Speilberg's movies,I doubt he'd want to go in reverse.

Hulk made him an A-Lister due to the exposure which brought more attention to his other roles. Clint at Moviehole (who knows him) says of course if they make it soon than Bana will be in it. If they wait too long his contract expires.

i really dont see that, he's always been proud of being in Hulk and of the film.

Well, as far as i know he has always said he will be in a sequel depending on the script and director. What he would consider a good script and director is something we cannot gage. But he did say that Troy was the best script he had ever read and look how the movie turned out!

what?..i liked that movie ... but really though, i dont think Bana would return if Marvel get a crappy director that Bana has no faith in..would you?

No i wouldnt, and i thought Troy was incredibly average. But maybe a director who Bana doesnt fancy at first could be won over by the director explaining what he wants to do with the movie. If i was Marvel i would just do everything to get Bana back, THEN if he still doesnt want to, re-cast.

if i was Marvel, i really wouldnt do Hulk 2 :(, i know it sounds bad but i just wouldnt. I'd keep it in the back burner, get some great writers to come up with great story for an origin film and then when Spidey and Xmen films finish, use him.

Well, if it were up to me i would do a sequel. There are more fans of the first movie now than there was in 2003, and i think Hulk fans who didnt like the original would still go and see this. As would casual movie fans if the movie is marketed right.

Oh, yeah, by the way Sava, great avatar!
