Marvel Movie News & ANT-MAN

Hmm.... interesting. I always figured they'd just do Henry Pym.

But I can see why they might be going with this approach. It twists the concept of the origin story around enough to seem less run of the mill while still introducing the character and universe.... and along with that, Scott Lang's story arc may seem more appealing, as he begins the movie as a criminal and redeems himself, while also having his own family to deal with.

Strangely enough I'm kind of intrigued by this.... I always really liked Scott Lang in the comics, and hated the way he'd always be handed the short end of the stick all the way until he got killed off just so the Avengers could disassemble. While starting off with Lang isn't the approach I would've taken, I'm still interested to see where this goes.

Hopefully though, they'll at least plant the seeds here for Pym becoming Giant Man/Goliath in a future Avengers movie.
