Ya for me with relaunch will probably be trading out aa book like fantastic four and I have to see where the avengers books go. But I probably will keep just new avengers once we get more details on that. And besides that I just stick to asm/avsm/ucsm as my reads.

First five issues are all one in done issues. The suit looks similar to the first IM movie armor, but black, and gold colors. What does everyone think?

It looks like they put a helmet on those Batman-Iron Man manips. I dig the movie design and I can get used to the black.

I imagine the reason the armour looks more like the movie version is that so Land has plenty of photographs to trace.

I don't understand why they give him high profiles series. He's awful. Everything he does is awful. Trace job after trace job after trace job--and the female characters get the worst of it, constantly making that vapid covergirl smile at inappropriate times. The fact that he's on Iron Man makes me not want to buy it.

I can see why Land gets a lot of work. He's fast so he can meet deadlines easily, everyone he draws looks gorgeous, and most people don't know he traces.

I can see why Land gets a lot of work. He's fast so he can meet deadlines easily, everyone he draws looks gorgeous, and most people don't know he traces.

I still don't see it. While I don't doubt plenty of people aren't aware he traces, the fact that he's tracing is well known among the fan community and thus must also be well known among the creative community. I can't imagine any writer worth his salt actually wanting to work with Land, because that would be asking for poor visual storytelling. Even if someone, somewhere, doesn't know he's tracing, all it takes is one look to see how much his artwork damages the storytelling in a comic. Vapid smiles and O-faces everywhere.

They probably don't want to release any line-ups just yet so they can keep the whole "who might die" in AvX hype going.

Right now there's a black and white armored Iron Man running around so I'm guessing that Gillen incorporates that into his story. I kinda like the black and gold.

Right now I don't think he isn't but I'm not really reading it. I think he's been captured by the Mandarin or some s**t. I'm sure when Fraction ends his run Tony will be back in the armor.

Yeah, it's gotten to the point where I can't defend him anymore due to how awesome Casanova is. He's just incapable it seems of writing in an established universe. Like a lot of these indie writers now that you mention it.
