So the question is, why buy it now? Comics have existed for a long time.

Seems like convenient timing, a month after the supposed meeting that will determine the future of spiderman

When Marvel was doing a Spider-Girl comic for Anya, they had her inner monologue as tweets. They actually have a Twitter account for her but hasn't been active for 4 years.

But like you said, it's pretty much been dead for years. This Spidey account is new, and is following MCU accounts... so it's gotta count for something.


While it could easily mean nothing, it could mean something and it just makes for some speculation.

They're claiming that it's for comics, but it's probably for a future movie. The account is following mostly MCU accounts, and if it's for comics they'd have used it by now and given it that blue tick, but here it's just waiting... being quiet.

It's not for comics, no matter what Agent M says.

I haven't watched it since I saw it in the theater. Just can't bring myself to watch it again.

TASM2 and TWS have been the only 2 movies that have made it to cable. After watching TASM2 once renting it from Netflix, I don't even stop on it.

TWS, I stop on it even and probably have watched it over half a dozen times now.

Probably will do the same for DOFP or GOTG.

The spiderman account owned by marvel following the official avengers twitter account. That is just too fishy.

Also, if it's for the comics, why hasn't it tweeted anything yet? You'd think they'd put out a post on it's first day if it wasn't waiting on something, like say, an announcement of some sort? And they did this with all of their movie characters before they announced their films didn't they?

The biggest thing of all though, the timing! Right now, around the time of the supposed spidey-summit? They could've made this years ago if it was for the comics.

And of you look at the captain marvel, doctor strange, and black panther followers list, they look very similar.
