It just gets annoying. It's not some race to win. Marvel is making good ****. Hopefully DC is too with their universe. Both have phenomenal actors and pretty good casting.

You can not be a part of the argument but it's naive to ask the question you asked because the answer is pretty obvious.

It doesn't feel that unlikely now

ya the whole dc vs marvel casting is a little silly. Both marvel and wb has scored some great casting choices in there films and TV projects in the last few yrs. And just cause spidey was casting a teen role doesn't mean sm 17 would be great. There is still plenty of roles in sm 17 that marvel/Sony can score some big or at least popular genre actors in.

Also just cause we did cast 1 Disney TV actor right now doesn't mean every single teen role in the film is going to be filled with Disney/nick sitcom actors. We are likely to see some others like total unknowns, to guys who done a few films, or theater work. We don't know how testing is going. Are they just putting out offers to a few actors at a time and then have them test with tom/Marissa to see who works well with them. Will they do a big casting auditions like we know how peter started. There is plenty of ways casting can go. But we are bound to see some big/known names land on the film.

If Michelle is Peters roomate in the comics and the 2017 film will be in high school. Will Michelle be a new love interest? A girl next door? It says lead role, so she's gotta be something important to Peter. Maybe a really close friend from school.

I think we all just need to chill out and see how the next batch of news drops before we get all nuts and the board gets as crazy as it was during the casting wars time for peter. The board was such a mess at that time. Ernesth like i told harry look at all the sites thr/variety/deadline they all flip flop using the term lead role/key role. But all the sites made it clear she isnt pegged to be a romantic love interest role. And like some of us have said just case those articles are saying lead/key role we dont know how long she may be in the film. She could easily just be a friend character during a few school scenes in the film. And folks getting all hyped up over nothing.
