What a lovely way to start a new thread

Here's another very recent photo of him from just last month. He looks fine.

so have there been any more rumblings/rumors about the screentest results?

has eh maybe teased anything?? lol

I find Rowe to be decent as an actor. Not sure if I can be comfortable with 'decent' in regards to Spider-Man, but yeah.

I'm pretty sure they do that with most actors to be safe (they get a rapid boost in popularity or something like that)
You mean it's just for keeping the actors away from other big films? Well, in this case it didn't help. Simpkins has a role in Jurassic World

Hmm I could sort of see that actually
Butterfield/Knight for Peter/Harry, it is then :)

Plummer impressed me more than Rowe in just a single clip, not that Rowe is bad he just hasn't wowed me.

hmmm.....yeah.

I think it's the hair color ( and style ) that's making the difference.

In this pic and the other one I posted, his hair is darker.

Maybe that's why when I look at those pics, I do kind of see a young Peter Parker in him.

still not as close as Rowe, but I could warm up to Plummer if he looked like this and bulked up a bit more.

Like I said, he and Rowe do have a marketable "Disney" look about them. Like, if I didn't know who they were, I would think they were stars on a Disney show.

it's like.......Rowe and Plummer look like a more "modern" Peter Parker that would fit in the MCU world. Similar to Garfield.

whereas Asa has a more "old fashioned" look about him. Like people have said, more of a "Ditko" look. but that doesn't seem to fit as well in the modern MCU world they've created.

I used to think Tom Holland looked like Spectacular Spider-man Peter Parker, but now I think Charlie Rowe looks a lot more like that incarnation....like holy crap!

Plummer looks like no version of Peter at all

He's no better an actor than Asa either, who at least looks like Ditko Parker

Agreed, but looks shouldn't even be the main factor. That goes to one's acting ability to play the role believably and convincingly, and with all the hype Plummer's been getting, I'd say he'd be able do it greatly.

Rowe has more of the look people are comfortable with, and I personally find his acting to be okay, but okay for Spider-Man? That's where I'm scratching my head.

I'd prefer Holland or Butterfield as Harry, personally (after giving it some thought and rest), but if either of those got the role, I'd be fine with it. Either way, I have four picks and I'd be fine with any of 'em.

I'm cool with Plummer, I just hope they give him brown hair if he gets the role. I've only seen him in a couple episodes of Granite Flats, and wasn't that impressed with him in it so far but we'll see. I still prefer Holland over Plummer and Rowe though.

just hope Plummer doesn't grow too much taller........:cwink:

I'd happily trade an exact looking Peter played by an 'okay'-ish actor for someone who kinda looks the part but can act the hell out of it.

yeah. it's so uncanny.

surely the people in charge of casting would notice that.

Lol, people are so...come on guys, give Plummer a chance.

We've yet to see him have his hair stylized and dyed brown anyway, so maybe that'd make a difference. :oldrazz:
