These are probably 3 of the last people I'd choose to play Peter Parker... I don't know how credible the 1,500 number is, but how could these actors be left in the 6? Just awful...

I questioned that myself. It's just so.... WEIRD

I wonder why talents like Lucas Hedges and Dakota Goyo were left out. Sure, they don't look anything like PP, but neither do these infants.

Well, the best answer to those actors is just that it's the reality of things. Don't know how else to put it.

I get the feeling those kids are a red herring....it just seems kinda random to go THAT young.

Marvel and Sony looked at 1500 names and sorted most of them out before anyone could read for the part. It's impossible to audition 1500 people.

The number of actors that actually read for the part could have been somewhere between 50 and 100. Don't have any facts though, I'm only making a guess.

I don't think you can realistically expect a Matt Lintz or that other kid to carry a billion dollar movie franchise. Probably goes for Plummer and Rowe too.

Butterfield and Tom still seem like the most likely options at the end of the day.

Either Marvel & Sony are joking, or the kids are only there to make the list become bigger. The actual competition for the role is just between Rowe, Butter and Tom

That's sound logic. However Plummer seems to fit Feige's vision, so I think that gives him a good chance at the role. Between Butterfield and Tom though, I think Tom probably fits that vision for Spidey better too. We'll see what happens.

I'm honestly completely baffled by almost everything about this movie so far. This was the most epic opportunity ever. I'm not saying it's going to be bad or cry that the sky is falling, but jeez, everything's been so underwhelming/baffling so far
