Marvel Comics to Cancel X-Men Books and Relaunch An Entire New X-Men Universe With Jonathan Hickman: "New Era for the X-Men"

Sounds more a stunt than anything else.

"This is a whole new era for the X-Men"
"it was needed to return the X-Men to their rightful prominent position in the Marvel Universe”

So this is being done to mirror the X-Men's onscreen transition from Fox to their new home at Disney/Marvel?

Maybe.

It's being done because Hickman is a genius in this medium and he will absolutely return the X-Men to dominance. :cwink:

Reading the comics, I don't think the X-Men (or any Marvel titles) are returning to dominance for a while...

The comics industry will never return to the levels it once was, but Marvel is still doing better then anyone else in terms of sales.

colour me surprised, because I thought from what I saw of the sales was that everybody is doing equally terrible.
