yeah pretty cool.
however i think the dlc is pretty weak.

i'd like to see DLC containing -
Marvel - Hawkeye
cyclops
iceman
nightcrawler
green goblin
red skull
Loki
(and of course captain britain and/or union jack!!)

capcom -
Captain Commando
Ken
Hayoto (plasma sword)(he was in MVC2 aswell)
strider
megaman
Jon Talbain/Gallon - Darkstalkers

I think Jill's machine gun hyper can be linked after one of her special moves and it can be linked after an air S upon landing.I have yet to beat the game with Haggar or Felicia but there is one thing that you guys may have not noticed. In my character profiles there appears to be at least seven spaces unaccounted for now this is different for everyone because of the amount of characters you may have beaten the game with so for me there arte five boxes unaccounted for.Hmmmm...I wonder what dlc are coming next.

Hmm I'll have to check that out. Interesting.

Well after almost an hour of playing online, some ranked, some player, and only winning ONE match I have deiced that I don't think I'm going to play this online anymore. It's a shame because I do like this game but seeing as I'm not that good online I don't see the point trying when I'm going to get my butt handed to me every single time and just get frustrated. I mean it's ridiculous how many people use Sentinel/Hulk/Dante/Deadpool and just spam the same moves over and over again so I can't even get a match started. I try to use a mix of different fighters but no one else seems to care so they spam the same teams. And the ones that do use different teams are just so good I get destroyed. Maybe in a few months I'll try online again but I honestly don't have it in me to care when I know I'll most likely lose.

As far as the dlc goes, I've liked it so far.

Jill is fun to goof with, but I won't play her seriously as I'm terrible at the really technical characters like her.

Shuma though is super fun to use, and quite effective.

The costume pack was mostly not for me, but still worth it due to Caps modern look all by itself.

I just hope we get an announcement soon about other future dlc.

This is kinda why I hate online gaming, period. Nearly every game these days seems to have most of its resources poured into the online segment and everyone claims that apparently you aren't playing the 'proper' game if you play offline but the online gaming community is full of tossers. You get same button pressers on fighters or campers on shooters or whatever because all they want to do is win. I wouldn't care if I sucked and lost every match, if I was beaten in a fair and fun way and had good fun. But I just find online play in pretty much any game from the last few years, frustrating because there isn't good sportsmanship anywhere, just saddos who think the most important thing in their life is to win.

Not everyone is meant to be good at everything. There are some things that some people just do better than others.

You know what? I think you and I may be the perfect opponents. Because I promise you, I'm really bad at online as well and just get my butt handed to me everytime I try. And I'm no Sentinel spammer. So maybe we could practice some matches and when we're ready, we'll take over the whole world of MvC3 :P

Yeah I agree with this. I totally agree!! I'm so fed up of that **** as well. As you said, it's not only about spammers in fighting games, but about cheap tactics in shooters as well. I watched my little brother play Halo Reach (BTW, Halo is one of the worst kinds of shooters when it comes to cheap players). And I noticed that loads of people just sat and waited around a corner near a transporting elevator kind of stuff. So every time someone popped up there, those guys just cut him to death with a cheap sword or shot him with a shotgun. And there was no way to get to that specific area without taking that elevator. Every match, there were those guys who did nothing but sat there and waited for safe kills. And if you hadn't mute them, you could always hear it's some annoying little kid, about 10 years old or something, talking in an annoyingly sqeeky voice.

It's the same in almost any online competitive game. The only game I find any fun in playing online is Killzone 2. Because in that game, you can't do that kind of stuff if you want to win the match with your team. There, you have to vary your game and play as a team. Those Halo kids would never fit in there, and I love that.

The worst about online fighters however is the terrible lag. I've never had any lag at all with Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2 etc. But in fighters, it lags almost all the time for me, and then it's almost impossible to play against someone who spams quick shooting attacks. The best fighter online that I've experienced is by far Tekken 6. MvC3 may be the worst tbh.

And this is why I wish they had offered more modes in the single player component of the game

I agree!

It seems they spend so long on the online multiplayer aspect and what they don't have to put in the 'finished' game that they can later make you pay as DLC for a complete experience that they forget about the single player until the very end, adding it in like it's supposed to be an afterthought treat. I'm just waiting for the day when online multiplayer is standard and anything else is an extra, like online multiplayer is supposed to be now.

Yeah I've also noticed that nearly all these cheap players are children. Why are they not at school or doing homework or whatever? Do they actually skip school just so they can play online? I mean it's a grown adults (bad) choice to do this. But the fact parents are letting kids get away with this, is just bad.

Plus online fighters also have ragequits...Oh SFIV you piece of ****.

I hate these pull pluggers. Bunch of cowards.
I rather lose than have my time lost with them.

I ragequitted this cheap bastard playing Seth on SSFIV and spamming the same cheap combo over and over. Ugh. I refused to play online since.

I kinda wish I didn't level up in Rank. Now I'm stuck fighting Lords who only use Dante, Akuma/Ryu, and Deadpool.

Yeah that's the thing. If I lose a well fought match, that's cool because it was fun. But when people spam or use cheap tricks it takes the fun out of it. You know I was talking to a friend of mine about MVC2 and we were talking about playing it in arcade compared to online and how much better it was in the arcade because if people pulled the crap they do online they would most likely get punched in the face. But since it's the internet people get away with anything.

I've been playing fighting games since I was 5 and the one thing I noticed is where I loved playing it with friends in my living room or at the arcade, playing online just doesn't measure up because of the crap that goes on. Now I'm not saying everyone is like that but the few that are just suck the joy out of playing sometimes.

Yeah I understand that. And trust me I know I'm not good at online fighting and I never aspired to be the best. But that's not the reason I was aggravated, it was because of all the dumb spamming and cheap tricks. I guess it's because I play in more of an old school fighting mindset and today's is more like "Spam,Spam,Spam, same combo 5 times, spam". I just want to have fun online with some good people, that's what online gaming is to me and I think PC defiantly has an edge in that department in my opinion.

Then play with your friends. I rarely play any online games without people I know, either personally or through Live.

he spammed a combo? Did you not know how to block and not stay opened up to said combo?

anyway, Shuma is interesting. I'm liking his jump cancel loops into Chaos Dimension

For me, I got sick of the shotoclone spammers who kept spamming hadokens. I don't rage quit often, but whenever I did it always seemed to be when I was playing against friggin' Ken.

I only play online with my friends. We're all of similar skill so it makes it a little more enjoyable. Playing against random kids online is hellish

Yea my buddy and i played last night and out of 14 matches, we split em evenly. It was a lot of fun. Altho had he of beat me a few more times i wouldnt of found it as fun. I dont like losing, in anything.

Yeah, people seem to always grow huge balls whenever they are behind a screen. Like the screen makes them invincible or something.

It's Seth, you should know how cheap he can be. It was almost impossible to be offensive because he mastered the art of "turtling" me into his cheap Seth moves

My best friend and I usually split pretty even when we play. We also force each other to use random teams to keep it a little fair. That way nobody is just using a Deadpool/Dante heavy team

Haha we don't care who uses who. If you're good you can handle a desdpool/Dante combo. Those 2 are always on my team when I'm going for a win. If I'm just playing around I'll use others but if I'm trying to win, they have a spot on my roster. Spidey/Dante/Deadpool tend to be my core, Altho I'm thinking of adding Wesker over Spidey.
