Script
Set two years after the last film , Peter's life has changed dramatically since the cliffhanger ending of The Amazing Spider-Man.

With Mary Jane linked Billionaire Playboy Tony Stark , the odds of Peter and MJ getting back together have dimmed .

At the same time , he's moved back in with Aunt May after his living arrangement with Flash Thompson fell through over Spider-Man's true identity.

And with the Daily Bugle staff having scattered , Peter works at Columbia University, taking over the duties once held by his mentor Otto Octavius , who vanished, after his near fatal disfigurement .

However, Peter's old mentor and friend re-emerges two years later , now, as Doctor Octopus seeking vengeance against Adrian Toomes , as he begins his bid for Mayor .

Helping Ock are three of his former students : Football player Aleksei aka The Rhino, Kickboxer Angelia aka Stunner , and Otto's righthand tech expert , Carloyn Trainer .

Complicating matters, is Toome's daughter, Felicia , who soon presents a romantic alternate to Peter , whose spent two years trying to get over MJ.

Now , Peter must face a man he considered a father figure, while protecting a loathsome CEO , and his innocent daughter , all the while having to contend with Ock's former students, all of whom , Peter was friends with in the past.

The Producers want to play up The Luke vs Vader type vibes , as mentor and protege battle .

Otto has fallen from grace , and what is left is a criminal mastermind ,who knows Peter's true identity, his weaknesses, and his vulnerabilities .

But as Peter must come to terms with Doctor Octopus , MJ's new fling, Tony Stark, ironically takes an interest in Peter and becomes an unexpected ally.

Stark is played as a man who is more than meets the eye and who clearly has a few secrets of his own.

Stark who eventually buys the Bugle out from under Toomes , and by the end of the hints that he may know Peter's true identity .

By the end of the film, Ock is defeated and his rivarly with Spider-man is cemented , and though he still knows Spider-Man's true identity, he decides to keep it to himself , as a constant ace card he holds over Peter .

With Stark and Otto knowing Peter's secret, the hero ultimately confesses the truth to Mary Jane and Flash Thompson.

With the truth now out the door is left open for the Peter and MJ reconciling , while Peter and Flash bury the hatchet , while Flash comically comes to terms with being the biggest fan of a guy he's been rivals with since elementary school .

Toomes is ultimately exposed and ruined for his role in The Hobgoblin crime spree in the last film, and he is ultimately sent to jail along with Ock, while Felicia , though drawn to Peter , resents Spider-Man for ruining her father .

Plot:

Think Man Bites Dog meets Crank with a sprinkle of Guy Ritchie's early 2000s mob films.

When a sleazy documentary crew decides to follow Bullseye, the most despicable, foul-mouthed psychopath, on a journey across the London underworld hellscape, they get more than they bargained for. What begins as a cheap thrill spirals into a nightmare of ultraviolence and booze.

Bullseye lives for humiliation, chaos, and the obsession with the perfect kill. A coin flicked through an eyeball, a dart rammed into a jugular, a thrown card slit a neck; for him, murder isn’t business, it’s art.

But London fights back. A bounty is placed on his head, drawing out every washed-up gangster and psycho for hire, among them the schizophrenic femme fatale Typhoid Mary, the cold and calculated Maverick, and the over-the-top merc Foolkiller. Each one wants a piece of Bullseye, desperate for one last shot at glory.

Nightclubs turn into slaughterhouses. Football riots become target practice. Even high-society galas end up in bloodbaths. With the cameras rolling, the body count climbs, and Bullseye is ready to put on the greatest show of his life. The deeper the crew follows him, the more they realize they aren’t documenting a killer; they’re complicit in creating a monster.

With an X Men motion picture seemingly in limbo, and a popular animated series airing Saturday Morning, Legendary TV Producer Aaron Spelling offers to produce an X Men tv movie for The Fox Network.

Spelling becomes attracted to the property due to it's complicated relationships and dynamics , in addition to it's themes and scale.

Love triangles, ongoing feuds, and family legacies are inherit in Spelling's own properties such as Dynasty, Beverly Hills 90210, and Melrose Place , in addition to the producer being no stranger to action with Charlies Angels.

Without any objection from the film division, The Uncanny X Men gets the greenlight .
The 2 hour made for television movie would be unrelated to the animated series, even though most of the team featured in the cartoon would appear in the new film.

However, with Jubilee tied up in a Generation X Tv project , Kitty Pryde is used instead , and given Budget constraints , Beast is elbowed from the film.
