I imagine Ali will bring his own take to Blade. Only Wesley can pull off Wesleys Blade. If Ali tried coping that I hope he gets called out on it. Let Ali take this time & work thins out with Kevin on what type of Blade that would be good for the MCU. But the one thing they should NOT do is copy Wesley

I'm not saying to copy Wesley Snipes. I'm talking about whether Ali will be his own version of the movie Blade as developed by Snipes. Comics Blade is entirely different:

The Snipes of Blade wears dark clothing and a long dark coat. All subsequent versions of Blade eg the TV series starring Sticky Fingaz were based on the Snipes version, even though it was a different take. The Snipes version changed the way Blade is portrayed in live action.

He’s a great name to be attached to the role. For me hearing things like that gives me confidence in the future of the MCU and makes me more excited for it. If they announced X-Men for 2025 and mentioned which characters would be appearing I’d be stoked even though it was such a long way away.

Yea it seems strange doesn't it. Not very Feige-like. Feels like the stupid DC announcements like Batgirl, and Green Lantern Corps. Or the Gambit movie announcement.

I hear Ali is really passionate about it though. Word is he actually contacted Kevin and pitched himself in a Blade movie. That might have put a bit of faith in Kevin to share he info.

That would be a great place to intro him. Plus I’ve been campaigning for them to take the first steps towards Midnight Sons.

Feige introduced Black Panther but it wasn't to appear immediately in his own movie. So I guess he could show up somewhere else first and Doctor Strange seems like as good a place as any. But then I'd also like Ghost Rider to show up there as well.

Let the scariness in Dr Strange be from horror characters like Blade and Ghost Rider rather than scary CGI like Cats.

Canon / out of place timeline or not but who cares if The Coulson Copy becomes a Ghost Rider in the final season of AOS because of the deal The OG Coulson made use that version & the MCU Ghost Rider can be Coulson but not Coulson

I'm talking about the real Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze, who deserves to be in the movies. Not either the Coulson version or the Robbie Reyes Ghost Driver version. The classic Ghost Rider who rides a flaming motorcycle.

Dr Strange would be a good place to put him.

Since Marvel also got some Sony-owned characters back, they should use Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider on film. That version also looks far more spectacular riding a flaming cycle than driving a car, or even vehicle-less like Coulson. Ghost Pedestrian?

I don't think he'd probably have his own movie again, but sticking him in Dr Strange would be ideal, especially if it's the Multiverse of Madness where maybe anyone could show up.

Also would be a good place to show a world overrun by vampires to introduce Blade.

I hope this opens the door to characters like Moon Knight, Daemon Hellstrom, Elsa Bloodstone and others in the occulty/horror side of the Marvel Universe.
