Just read up more on these characters and this has so much potential. I know why Feige wanted to adapt this into a film so early into the MCU. Its a shame the success of the Avengers ended those plans. I wonder if we are getting the Dinosaur thing.

I have no problem with the name change.Anyway the other actress is latina in real life but they did not did change her name.

Perhaps they wanted to add a Hispanic member to the team? The comic got a lot of praise for it's diversity, and they already have several White team members. Just a thought.

I was watching Collider Heroes on youtube and one of the host said that the runaways have two latinas.
I look it up.

We may have to wait just a little bit longer until a Mexican-American cyborg takes over our TVs, but Marvel has already started casting for its new Hulu series, Runaways. On Thursday, Marvel revealed that two Latinas – Ariela Barer as Gert Yorkes and Allegra Acosta as Molly Hernandez – form part of the main cast. Victor Mancha, a cyborg who is the son of Ultron, plays a key role in the comic book. There’s no word on whether Marvel’s cutting the character from the show, though the studio promised to release additional casting information later on.

Trailer presentation leaked online. Trailer looked pretty good. Looked faithful to the comics. I thought they might PG kid friendly the show but it looks like they are keeping the darker elements of the comics intact

This is on Hulu, not Freeform. You're thinking of New Warriors that is joining Cloak and Dagger on Freeform.
