This is the first time I have seen Mary jane's father listed as a character in Part 3.

I actually didn't like how they made Phillip Watson look like such a stereotypical abusive dad, right down to the balding, the wife-beater wearing, and the potbelly. I think he was even carrying a rolled up newspaper when we saw him. It seemed cheap to me.

MJ's dad is actually very educated and dapper-looking (if she's a model, she must get her looks from somewhere, right?) in the comics. He's a former English professor. But he's also an abusive lowlife who ended up turning to crime. She put him in jail.

either way, it gives mj reason to have tension towards peter even if the dad was a jerk

As for my own opinion of Philly-Boy, my guess is that he becomes everyone's favorite villain...THE SPOT! Being the lowlife he is, he'll use his powers to put spots all over shower rooms and use them to peep the ladies lockers in high schools.
