Mass Effect 3

Hehe yea, Kaiden was all kinds of lame. Guy had the personality of a sock drawer.

Hey Shepard. Want to hear about my headache again? Ouch, it really hurts this time.

Too bad about Jacob. It's not like he was a bad character and had no personality, but he was pretty much the sanest person there.

I liked his loyalty mission.....his dad is f'd up, I let the frittatas have his ass

I knew when I sent Kaiden in, he was going to die, but I didn't care because Kaiden was not only boring, but an incredibly weak character in your party who kept dying on me anyway.

lol. I mean, yea, Ashley was a xenophobe. But at least she had a personality.

I find this funny (& wrong) because Bioware themselves wrote into one of the cutscenes with Ashley herself even saying she is only weary of other alien races (but not "hate") for reasons she expains.

One of the things I love about Bioware, they create characters you love, hate, hate then love, love then hate, or dislike & miss a whole chunk of their backstory by not taking the time to listen to each character. I'm fine with people disliking Ashley & plenty do lol :oldrazz: I don't really care, everybody is entitled to their opinion but she is not an xenophobe, period.

This info is on the scans from PSM3, but for the ones that want to read:

Heavy Melee Attacks
1.There is a new charged-up melee attack where Shepard uses his Omni-Tool to inflicting a big burning hit.

Story
1.They saw a cut-scene where the Normandy and a fleet of alien ships go through a mass relay together.
2.The structure of the story is a little different to Mass Effect and ME 2, but it bears more resemblance to the first game’s story. ‘Mass Effect 3, in simple terms, is a little more like the first game. You’re collecting pieces of a story, but the more you investigate and explore these themes, the more the game will unlock and you’ll see the bigger picture.’ Its more of a traditional story.
3.They’re not going to end the game like a traditional war story, where you beat the bad guys and celebrate. All these characters and relationships created will be a big part of the ending.

Additional Details
1.Casey Hudson says, the game will have some epic moments, as well as ‘smaller, more personal moments’ that exceeds the previous 2 games. The player will start realising things from Shepard’s personal life. He will have to deal with the consequences of the sacrifices he’s had to make.
2.Obvious: Your choices will all have an impact in ME 3 such as the genophage, the collector base, your LI choices etc.
3.New enemy type: The Cannibal. Part Batarian, part Human and part Reaper. Consumes other enemies in combat to gain strength.
4.The Turret that Engineers can use won’t kill enemies, but distract them.
5.Gunfights are quicker and more deadly (confirmation).
6.Visually it’s tapping the heels of games such as Killzone 3 and Crysis 2, with 6 months development time left.
7.The Rachni decision may haunt you in ME 3.
8.Character customisation will be as extensive as ever.
9.The action, rather than the all-linear affair of ME 2, will be more along the lines of Uncharted.
10.New Cerberus troops are called Phantoms and Assassins.
11.Shepard faces full-on bosses in the game’s story. Some are really huge. One part, you have to lure a Reaper up to a Thresher Maw so they can duke it out.
12.“Many of the core story levels are built around the largest, most dramatic moments in the galaxy.”
13.The Mass Effect series has sold over 7 million copies.

Even more details
1.Normal in ME 3 will be the equivalent of Veteran in ME 2.
2.Kai Leng (known from the books) will work with Cerberus to kill Shepard.
3.James Sanders is muscular, like an American footballer on steroids.

I knew it. That ninja dude in the magazine wasn't James Sanders, I think it could be Kai Leng because he looks a bit asian. Anyway, those details sounds great.

The Rachni decision may haunt you in ME 3.

It's too vague!! DID I MAKE THE WRONG CHOICE?!!!

It's nice to hear about the visuals and customization though. I don't think I'm gonna watch any upcoming trailers, these details make me feel like I already know too much.:(

Heh, I remember saying something like maybe the Rachni will turn on you or something earlier, and you'll laughed, now it may be true, haha. Nah, that probably won't be the case since it was a good decision. It may backfire, though, maybe the Queen breeds too much or something.

Yea... what you described is a xenophobe. Xenophobes don't hate other races or in this case, species, they are just suspicious and "weary" of them.

There is a difference between racist (specie-ist?) and xenophobe.

And nice new details. Can't wait for this game.

But the thing about James Sanders is funny. "Like an American Footballer on steroids". THe steroids part was redundant :D

Pffft, steroids was never really a major issue in the NFL, they're pretty clean. If anything MLB is where steroid use flows like water.

Never really a major issue because they're clean? Or never really a major issue because it's the norm and the NFL can't afford to ban everyone so pretends it doesn't happen?

I liked Jacob. Seriously, WTF?! My main Shep and him were best buds. Zaeed was lame, and he doesn't fit in with my crew at all. I hope Mordin is made into a resident like Dr. Chakwas on the ship, but with more Dialogue. I never used him. and they've said Sanders IS NOT the guy in the trailer. Miranda better be back too. Story-wise, her disappearance would just not make sense. Jacob's could make sense, like he wants to take time off because of all the stuff about his dad.

My guess is that they will end up being indoctrinated.

Clean.

If you want to point fingers at steroid use, point them at MLB. Nearly every record breaker of the 90's-early 2000's pumped themselves full of the stuff.

Goodell is all about a players well being and is not above smearing someones name to use them as an example. Now, I'm not saying that EVERYONE in the NFL is clean, but it's not rampant like you seem to think it is either.

Besides, most NFL stars (not all, seriously... there are GOOD guys in the sport..) are to busy drinking to take steroids.
