I hated using other armor bc they forced you to wear a helmet. I much prefer to go helmetless bc I want to see my Shepard's face in the cutscenes

Are there scans from the PSM yet or has it not been released?

Yeah, same here. I'm using Shepard's old N7 helmet because I can see his eyes in the cutscene, and he doesn't look like a robot like he does with other helmets like Cerebreus and Aegis.

Yeah, if they give us other armor this time around I hope we can take those stupid helmets off.

I wish they'd have kept that feature in ME1 where you can make the helmet invisible in the cutscene.

DICE giving a hand in Mass Effect

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if DICE, the makers of Battlefield, used their FPS expertise in another franchise? Turns out you don’t have to wonder, as BioWare has enlisted the Swedish-based developer to help out in Mass Effect 3! (via Belgium gaming magazine CHIEF).

To be more precise, DICE will be helping out BioWare in regards to Mass Effect 3’s guns. The sound it makes, the environments it’s fired in to, details of bullets in space, and taking into account the distance a bullet can travel are a few of the things DICE is helping with.

Not a bad move from BioWare’s part seeing as DICE is renowned for their audio work and Bad Company 2’s “bullet drop” shooting mechanic.

Both studios are owned by EA, so this really shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, particularly since DICE themselves use the ANT motion capture technology from EA’s FIFA series in Battlefield 3.

This is still very intriguing stuff, no? Can we count on BioWare helping DICE out in Battlefield 3’s progression and leveling system? Probably not, but it’s always a treat to see mega studios helping each other out.

I bet my bottom dollar it's for multiplayer. And if my bottom dollar is right, I will screech like a girl. Having one studio working on single player and one on multiplayer, fleshes out each equally.

God, I'm excited for this now.

lol it says they're doing the sound and bullet mechanics.

The recent Battlefield games have some of the best sound I've heard in a game, because they actually bothered to record their gun sounds from varying distances from the microphone, unlike Call of Duty where they just change the volume depending on how far away the gunfire is. A gun being fired 100 yards from a microphone sounds A LOT different from one that's fired 6 yards because of the distortion that the air puts on the soundwaves. They don't have to "fake" the sounds of distant gunfire in the BF games because their sound engine and recordings are thorough enough for it to be generated by the in-game gunfire as it happens.

...There wasn't really any sarcasm in that post, was there :O

I'm wondering how it gets upgraded this time around??....Cerberus rebuilt her, and now Cerberus wants your ass on a platter

maybe Liara uses some of that Shadow Broker mojo?

The Alliance takes it from you, claiming it as their property, and dismantles it before putting it back together.
