Ugh. Unless its some sort of co-op, count me out, and even then, im not sure how co-op would work

Well, it's not hard to imagine that your co-op buddy could control one of your squadmates.

If this happens, I'm not going to freak as its my impression that the MP component would be handled by another development team (Bioware Montreal on a guess) while the dev team works on Mass Effect proper.

I will have to visit the BW forums less as I expect a massive ****storm of epic proportions.

It could even be handled by someone completely outside of Bioware a la Medal of Honor. (Though my impression is that arrangement didn't work out so great.)

Yea guess that could work, altho with these types of games, id assume ppl want to control their character from their game(like Fable III)

Seriously? I'm ok with a stand alone MP Mass Effect game but shoehorning it into ME3 is just friggin' annoying. EA did say that "single player only" games were dead.... so....

this is no surprise for me they said on IGN they were hiring game testers for this very purpose. it was obvious this was gonna happen seeing there most likely only gonna do a trilogy. makes sense. heck I saw this coming since ME 1 when they mentioned the number of pairings for Specters work in group wise. there were always hints of this.

I really don't understand why everyone is so against multiplayer. I mean people were concerned that Uncharted 2 was going to have multiplayer, and it was fine. Same thing for Bioshock 2 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and dozens of other games. Mass Effect is no different.

Anyway, so we're taking Earth back? Hopefully there will be some more ME2 DLC (or perhaps some pre-LC) to explain how they got control of it.

Yea id assume so as well. I mean didnt ME2 end in pretty much a cliff hanger? Id assume ME3 would take up soon after the events of ME2. Well at least thats what im hoping.

I would assume that if you had some squadmates die then they would not be returning seeing as how that is the big thing with these games and how they link up to the previous ones.

Yeah, I think the squad you're left with at the end of Mass Effect 2 is pretty much who you're going to be stuck with in the third game. Naturally they'll have some more recruitable characters since your entire squad can die in ME2, but I think the ME2 guys are potentially going to make up the majority.

if it is true, i can alredy make my predictions for next E3, Ray Muzyka or Greg Zeschuk (or both) will be on Sony press conference and that will be the final nail on the Xbox coffin.
Even more if the rumors a couple of weeks ago are true, that ME3 will be timely exclusive on the PC and PS3.

On a second note, i pray that there is no MP on the game, because if so, not only nothing is sacred anymore, this might be the begining of the end for video games.
To have MP, even if only co-op, is ridiculous, as the game is a RPG not a fricking action game.

Also, the term is TIMED exclusive, not TIMELY exclusive.

Whoever said that ME3 may be a timed exclusive for PS3 is crazy. Microsoft gave them the chance to make their ONLY franchise (as of then) a hit. They wouldn't go against that.
