Still more work left to do here (especially around the hand, highlights under the arms, and obvious the two contraptions on the arms haven't been touched)

They just started have fanart contests again here @ SHH. The Feb'12 theme was simply 'Spider-Man'.

I was doodling away and finally decided to try a Steampunk version... and this is the result.

I had lots of fun with this. Hope you enjoy!

I'm starting a new piece, similar to 'Food Fight'.

This time, it's going to be different movie characters battling it out. This is about as rough as it gets, but I wanted to post a shot of the piece in it's earliest form, which is basically just some scribbled figures to get a sense of the layout.

The characters that will be included in the final piece are.

01. WALL.E from 'WALL.E'
02. The T-800 from 'Terminator'
03. Chucky from 'Child's Play'
04. Buzz Lightyear from 'Toy Story'
05. The Wicked Witch from 'The Wizard of Oz'
06. Harry Potter from 'Harry Potter'

thanks! im not a huge steampunk guy either, but 'spider-man' was the theme for this month's shh fanart contest and I just wanted to go a little outside of the box with it. thanks for the kind words!

i'd do something with potter's arm... him holding his broom and wand parallel with each other looks really odd... like he's holding two wands

he's going to be casting a spell, when all is said and done, but ill tweak i'll keep that in mind for sure.

Been sick the last few days, but I'm on the mend so I did some more clean-up and flat color on my movie madness piece...

Added Chucky, Buzz Lightyear, Gollum, and a few Gremlins.

I agree about Potter's arm, looks odd the position it is in now. Maybe aimed upward, like he's about to shoot a fireball spell right before he brings it down. Just my opinion.

Tweaked the angle of the broom and added a line to indicate where the spell 'beam' will be. I don't have tons of wiggle room since I have a lot going on behind what is currently drawn. I think it looks better now, but i think adding all the effects on the wand and spell will really sell it as different from the broom.

Yeah.. The before the flick action is far more exciting then the after. id pull his arm back and up
