clear up one misconception about you?

Some people assume that because of my looks that I must automatically be conceited. I don't think that's true and my friends have confirmed that. Looks are not everything and I've never subscribed to thinking that suggests otherwise.

At this point, I can still get well into the 3s. However, I really try to stay well below that because I've sustained wrist injuries in the past from pushing myself too far.

What is the worst moment of racism that you've experienced?
I think the one that had the greatest impact on me was when I was young and was with my father. We were coming out a shopping district in the parking lot. He was several steps ahead of me carrying stuff and we were making our way between the rows of cars. A white person sitting in their car saw him pass by and nodded. When I approached the same car only seconds later the person locked the car quickly for protection. My father heard the click and looked back in shock. I think it was then that he really realized that despite the fact that I was his son I would have it a lot harder in this world than he did. That bigot saw a wealthy white man in him. With me, all they saw was the colour of my skin...it didn't matter that I was his son.

If you could change one thing about yourself physically, what would it be?
I'd like to be a little taller. Also, I wish my glutes weren't quite so out there. While people compliment me on them I have always been self-concious about them. I was teased a lot in college...they used to call me "Basketball Butt". Part of it is from years of concentrated weight training and squats, but my mother's genetics play a role too.

Also, I am slightly bowl-legged.

No, I'm single at this time. I'm still getting used to it again.


Do you think you'll ever get married? If so, do you imagine that it might be moreso in favor of marrying a man or a woman? Bisexuality is an incredibly interesting part of humanity to me, so if the questions get too personal, you can pass, but I'm just curious. Do you think you would ever want to settle down with just one gender, or would you be too tempted by the other sex? When is the last time you were involved with a lady?

Actually I was married before to a wonderful woman. We were together for a couple of years. I enjoyed it at first, so if I ever met another one like her, sure I'd settle down with a girl. Or a guy. *shrugs* It really doesn't matter to me; it's all about the person and the vibe between us.

However, as far as being tempted is concerned: It's weird...if I was with a woman I could never be tempted by another woman. If I was with a guy I could never be tempted by another woman either. Yet, another guy could possibly sway me in both situations. Does that make me a ****e??

And I'd never marry a man. I find that whole argument totally uninteresting for me personally.

How was your thanksgiving?

It was...awkward.

I had dinner with my ex's family. Obviously it's the first Thanksgiving since the accidents and the deaths, so it was especially sad. I don't even know why I was there. But David insisted that I come because I've been coming to that event for several years straight now. I think he wanted me present for a "comfort" factor, even though we didn't really speak to eachother that much. However, his family loves me like I am one of their own sons, and as far as they know there has been no change in the relationship between us.

So it was a lot of faking.

What started your fascination with Lightning?
Many years ago I was nearly struck by lightning while doing something I wasn't supposed to be doing (something very innappropriate that probably would've gotten me arrested if we had been caught). The entire experience was both fantastic, horrifying and amazing. But for a while I thought that God was angry with me because of my choices in life, and I was fearful that that near-miss was a signal of death from Him. But I think better of it now. I survived the experience (obviously).

Also, since the 80's I've been a big fan of the X-Men's Storm (the non-Halle Berry version) so it all kinda coincided together.
