it was very important in the game. but this is a movie and its coming 8 years after the matrix out.
its to late.
Wahlberg as Max Payne? not quite what i had in mind but we'll see. if Wahlberg is anything is that he's a constant surprise.

people need to stop calling him marky mark , hes come a long way and doesnt deserve that everytime he does an interview or is mentioned.

Chill man get some good vibrations!
He will always be marky mark to me, just as david hasslehoff will always be the knight rider.
I agree he is a very talented actor, like i said in my first post one of my favourites. I think he's very versatile, imo he had the best role in the Departed, loved his bad attitude!
And shooter was easily one of my favourite movies this year if not ever.
But yes max payne needs to have the cheesyness of the game, but i'd love for them to shoot it kind of like sin city and 300 but with a similar filter they used over the images in the game. And yes plenty of bullet time!
I always wanted to play the Max Payne games, but I never got around to it...

Why is there a jungle scene in Max Payne??
Yeah - it's a story that could easily be adapted to the big screen, but what video game can't?
No clue, that's just what my boss told me. It could be something else. I'll ask him the next time I see him.

Video game movies, to me, are like going out with a super hot chick on an amazing date where she flirts with you all night and then you barely get a kiss at the end of the night. All D.T. but no delivery.
The last one I saw was Hitman which made me want to hire a hitman to take me out while I was watching it in theaters. The next one? It's the same film but with a new title: Max Payne.
Least this time we have Mark Wahlberg in the movie as Max Payne but even then I'm not really excited. However I'm sure there's literally dozens upon dozens of people excited for this film.
Gaming Today reports:
Word on the street is that the film should start shooting March 2nd in Toronto, and is scheduled to wrap up on May 9th. John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, The Omen, Flight of the Phoenix) is set to direct the story of a New York cop whose wife and baby are killed by thugs high on a designer drug called Valkyr. Devastated, the cop joins the Drug Enforcement Agency and goes undercover with the mob to find the source of the drug. Framed for the murder of his partner and hunted down by both the mob and the police, he is forced to wage a one-man war against crime.
