We thought May `07 was crowded with Spidey 3, Shrek the Third, and POTC 3. But check out May 2008:

MAY 2
Iron Man

MAY 9
Speed Racer

MAY 16
Prince Caspian

MAY 22
Indy IV

MAY 30
Starship Dave (Eddie Murphy flick)
Forgetting Sarah Marshall (The NEXT project from Judd Apatow)

Iron Man, Speed Racer, Prince Caspian, and Indy IV I'm looking forward to. Looks like I'll be skippin' the 30th.

Didn't Eddie Murphy already do a bad spaceman comedy?

I'll be seeing everything except Starship Dave, which I know will suck. I'm most looking forward to Indy IV and I'm least looking forward to Speed Racer. But I'll still see them.

I'm down for everything but Starship Dave and Speed Racer, myself.

This past summer '07 was suppose to a huge summer with great blockbusters but most of them failed and the summer was a bad season for movies this year. Next summer '08 I think will easily top this summer and next year will be the year for great movies.

Same here, not going to waste my money on a dumb Eddie Murphy movie and certainly not going to see Speed Racer unless it gets great reviews.

Never! April is Spring Break month. College kids (who, next to families, make up most of the movie-going audience) will be too busy getting drunk and laid.

Out of all of those that you highlighted, which ones were great films? And, which ones were horrible let downs? That is what I meant. Many horrible movies have huge openings and then sink fast b/c they suck.

I thought only Bourne, Harry Potter and Transformers was good. I'm not really interested in the movies coming out this May. I'm going to go see Iron Man but I have a feeling its going to take the road of Daredevil and Ghost Rider.

Yea, Spider-Man 3 and Shrek 3 were bad movies compared to others on that list yet they made the most money...Shrek 3 was the topper on milking a franchise dry.

One. Ratatouille. That, Knocked Up, and Superbad were the great summer movies. However...the rest were entertaining.

Yea...Spidey, Shrek, Transformers, and Pirates sinked so badly that they were "only" the top four grossing movies.

O yeah no doubt and in the end thats all that matters. As long as it makes money.

Yeah, there are a lot of big movies coming out in May. Only two of them are likely to be good (IRON MAN and INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL), and even then, there's a lot of room for them to go awry.

It's called word of mouth and repeat viewings. If Box Office is an indicator of quality, then Titanic still stands as the BEST MOVIE EVAHHHHH!

I already told you that quality-wise the only three movies that were great were Ratatouille, Knocked Up, and Superbad. Only Ratatouille is one of the top ten grossing movies for 2007.

Money-wise `07 was pretty good.
