Damn it. Mayweather won. My scorecard says so: 115-113. The fight was De La Hoya's for the taking but, in the final four rounds, he opted not to take it. All he had to do was employ his jab, and he would have coasted to victory. He seemed tense; he had too much respect for Floyd's counter right hand. Oh, well. If there is a rematch, and there will probably be one, I still expect De La Hoya to win. This fight was very much like Oscar's first encounter with Shane Mosely. He had a comfortable lead in the middle of the fight, then got burned by the speedier boxer. In the rematch, Oscar whooped Mosely's ass. I hope the same happens in his next meeting with Mayweather.
