McCain Supporter Attacked In Pittsburg, 'B' Carved Into Face

A "White Woman" blames a "Black Man" for attacking her because she's a McCain supporter? :whatever:

I thought this country was at the very least past people trying THIS kind of race baiting crap. :whatever:

You can't really judge any country by looking at their biggest *******s.

I hope they find an appropriate way to make this a hate crime and double the sentence, it's unbelievably ****ed up to do something like this.

She claims he saw the bumper sticker on her car, which is another part of the story that doesn't add up. He would have had to go out of his way to do this. She claims he robbed her, THEN saw the bumper sticker, then became enraged and decided to carve her face.
Oh, okay:whatever:. So this is like one of those pre-meditated muggings.

So apparently she has taken the polygraph and there are major inconsistencies with her answers according to the police. They are still investigating.

This looks like a hoax. I saw the photo of her face and it doesn't look anything like a knife wound.

If she's lying, I hope she's prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I don't even know what they could prosecute her for. If it is a hoax, she has definitely wasted the police department's time and money investigating it. They could sue her I suppose.

Nah, you can bust someone for filing a false police report, using police resources for fraudulent reasons, and a host of other things.

What would happen to her though? Community service or somesuch? I doubt she'd get put in jail for that.

Community service would be too lenient, but even if that's what she gets then it's better than nothing.

As to whether she can serve jail time, I don't know, I'm not an attorney, but I would imagine that they could throw the book at her. Were I the judge, I would do that to set an example. Whatever your political persuasion, trying to incriminate someone else for something you did to yourself is heinous because the potential exists that the police might pick someone up and accuse them of this crime if they 'fit the profile' of the report.

I agree. An example being set, especially one that could make national headlines, would hopefully prevent this sort of behavior going forward. There's not much time until the election, so I would not be surprised if other people from both sides tried this kind of thing. An example being set would hopefully scare those people away from such actions.

Well it depends on how much action the police have taken. I know it's a felony to falsly accuse someone of another felony, so that should equal jail time, plus the amount of money and man power the police have used could be another.

Though I think the best case senario is to just render this chick legally insane and put her in the shrink ward for whatever amount of time. That should sufficiently mess up her life, her relationships and job and discredit her to any possible news source.

I agree with you. My cousin is a surgeon and he said that, going by the photo, it looks like she did it herself with either a paperclip or her fingernail and that it doesn't look like lacerations from anything sharp at all. He said that the wound appears to have been scraped or scratched in with something dull, which would take time, patience, and the "victim" holding still for awhile. He called hoax on her as well.

This woman is an attention ****e. I'm calling it now.

Yep.

So the main reasons the police department is suspicious:

1. Attack happened away from surveillance cameras.
2. Backwards B.
3. Girl chooses to not receive medical treatment.
4. Girl updates her blog before telling the cops.

We'll see what comes of it. I think it's a toss-up at this point, especially due to points 1 and 4.

It reads like a bad episode of Law And Order SVU, the B on her face is a huge give away, it's way to neat and tidy for an "attack" carving.

Hell, it doesn't even look like it was caused by a knife. Even this fake scar looks more like a knife scar than hers:

Like you guys, right now I'm pretty convinced that this is a hoax as I read more about it. I hope it won't take long for the investigators to conclude that it is a hoax and make her a national embarrassment before Nov. 4th. And if this indeed turns out to be a hoax, it will deal a black eye on McCain's campaign, even though he probably has nothing to do with it.

Probably?

He has nothing to do with it. However, both he and Palin jumped on it VERY quickly and tried to console her. Oops. Should have waited till the facts were known. :hehe:

I said probably because I did find it weird that both McCain and Palin jumped right into this without knowing all the facts first, but I think it's something that McCain won't do even if he really want a swing state like Penn.

HOLY CRAP. She confessed to making up the story!

http://kdka.com/

"A Pittsburgh police commander says a volunteer for the McCain campaign who reported being robbed and attacked near a bank ATM in Bloomfield has confessed to making up the story. Police say charges will be filed. More details to follow."

I finally looked in depth in this case, and I must say, anyone who watches "Queer as Folk" should know that Liberty Ave is not the place thieves and muggers go in Pittsburgh... if anything, they'd be scared **** less to go there...

I guess she knew that she will fail the polygraph test, so she had to confess. Good to know that the truth has came out.
