My list:

1. Black Panther
2. Miss Marvel (could be renamed Capt. Marvel. It's all good)
3. Runaways
4. Dr. Strange
5. Journey into Mystery, starring Sif and the Warriors Three
6. Incredible Hulk, featuring the Leader and the Gamma Bomb.

for a rated-R Marvel Knights line-up

1. Cloak and Dagger
2. Luke Cage (for the big screen)
3. Daughters of the Dragon
4. Cloak and Dagger
5. Daredevil vs. Punisher

from Fox Studios

1. Fantastic Four: Journey to Monster Island
2. Dazzler
3. X-Force (using the Australian base)
4. X-Men: New Mutants

Mine:

Marvel Cinematic Universe (Not counting the Netflix characters):

1. Doctor Strange
2. Black Panther
3. Namor: The Sub-Mariner (Disney needs the rights back NOW!)
4. Hulk: Agent of SHIELD
5. The Inhumans
6. Runaways
7. Captain Marvel
8. Black Widow
9. Ka-Zar
10. Cloak & Dagger

Fox Cinematic Universe:

1. Silver Surfer
2. Deadpool
3. X-Force
4. Cable
5. Dazzler

Mine:

Marvel Cinematic Universe (Not counting the Netflix characters):

3. Namor: The Sub-Mariner (Disney needs the rights back NOW!)

For the trailer, I want it to reflect the old cartoon series where they chant "Stronger than a whale, he can swim anywhere..." And we see him blast through an American submarine and up to the sky.

He hehheh hee. :woot:

Fox Cinematic Universe:

1. Silver Surfer

This would be the most expensive film they'd have to make.

Cable will probably be merged with X-Force and Dazzler can't support her own film. Disco died a long time ago and as such, she'll never be cool again.

Fox should just focus on X-Men, X-Force, X-Factor, Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Wolverine and Deadpool. Those are more than enough franchises.

New Mutants and Excalibur as well.

Fox owns the Live action rights to X-men so I can see New Mutants as a TV show. Excalibur is a property that I'm not sure will ever see the light of day. Considering that Marvel presumably owns Union Jack, Blade and Spitfire and I'm not sure who owns the rights to Captain Britain, it's doubtful that Excalibur will ever be made.

Tell that to Daft Punk and Arcade Fire, both of whom had disco inflected albums that topped Billboard charts and Critics lists alike this year.

I think Fox isn't in the position to snub any solo films, as they have very few legitimate solo characters.

Strictly staying Cinematic I think we might see for Phase 3:

Ant-Man (science/tech angle since no IM solo)
Cap 3
Thor 3
Dr.Strange
Hulk 2 (his AoU will solidify another shot & Ruffalo's contract I think)
Avengers 3

Phase 4
GotG2
Dr.Strange 2
Hulk 3
Namor (the Thor type film, character from mythical place)
Black Panther (Captain America type film)
Avengers 4(where Cap/Thor/Ant-Man/ at min are involved)

Now this would culminate in a Defenders film normally, but their Netflix strategy kills that. Champions is out, legal issues.

I agree about Hulk 2 and Thor 2 but I think Cap may be a major player in Avengers 3 and then complete his solo trilogy after that.
I'd be happy to see another Thor film sooner rather than later but I think we might be headed towards a civil war type scenario with the Avengers taking on some kind of masters of evil/thunderbolts/dark avengers type team lead by some nutcase in the Iron Patriot armor,

Thing is though, Hulk needs shooting off into space first and for that we need introducing to both Dr Strange and Black Bolt of the Inhumans as well as a sequel to The Incredible Hulk so i think they could all be phase 3 movies along with Ant-Man, and if their is another slot before Avengers 3, that would be filled by one from Thor3/Cap3/BlackPanther/Captain(Ms)Marvel ... Personally I'd go for Black Panther

Phase 4
GotG2
Dr.Strange 2
Hulk 3
Namor (the Thor type film, character from mythical place)
Black Panther (Captain America type film)
Avengers 4(where Cap/Thor/Ant-Man/ at min are involved)
I definitely think now that more GOTG-related movies are going to lead us to the Infinity Gauntlet rather than the Avengers sequels, Planet Hulk in phase 4 then Avengers 4:WWH hopefully :)

I think this "Defenders" team could essentially end up being more Heroes For Hire - meets - New Avengers, and I've been wondering what, if any, connections the big screen Dr Strange will have to this corner of the MCU?

Thor and Cap will have their trilogies completed in Phase III, my pick:

2015: Ant-Man
2016: Thor 3/ Dr. Strange
2017: Captain America 3/ Black Panther or Captain Marvel
2018: Indestructible Hulk/ The Avengers 3

I dont think marvel is going to gravitate towards wwh and civil war.

We're in least some 15 years away from a possible Civil War film since the MCU lacks enough heroes right now, but i could see an eventual World War Hulk type of scenario, but with the world council as the ones who sent the Hulk into space, instead of the Illuminati, though i would like to see an MCU version of them once Tony Stark starts to get more serious and as a counter advance to what the World counsil has been doing.

Fox holds the *movie* license for the X-Men. This does not mean they hold any rights to do a TV series at all. Remember: Marvel *won* the initial lawsuit over Mutant X, they just settled out of court afterwards ( because Marvel was wee and couldn't afford a prolonged legal battle ).

Basically, Fox is not going to be making any TV shows.

, and I've been wondering what, if any, connections the big screen Dr Strange will have to this corner of the MCU?

There's the simple, obvious answer people keep ignoring: he will have absolutely nothing to do with that corner of the MCU. Dr Strange will be off having his mystical adventures in the supernatural segment of the MCU, not slumming with the street level heroes for whom his only connection is a team name that has been completely repurposed.

If Dr Strange has any team involvement, it will be with something along the lines of the Midnight Sons, I imagine.

Here's the thing: even if the World Security Council sent the Hulk off into space ( and honestly, I doubt they have the capacity do so in any way that would produce Planet Hulk )? You still wouldn't get WWH. . . or rather, you *shouldn't*. Because the core problem with WWH is that either Hulk is the villain, or ( in an MCU context ) the Avengers are the villains. Both options would be terrible decisions. And if everyone avoids the obvious trap, and realizes the WSC board is the real villain? Then you don't get WWH.

If you absolutely have to do Planet Hulk, its best to have Banner get lost in space by some completely different means. Maybe as a side effect of some climactic battle with the villains of the movie, maybe as an accident involving a space ship. Completely and utterly drop the "and its the heroes fault!" element, and just focus on "Banner and the Hulk stuck on Planet Gladiator."

( and even then, I think it'd be a terribly risky and unlikely move, marketing wise, as even a heavily revamped Planet Hulk movie would be incredibly expensive and cut the character off from all his established interpersonal relationships. A huge part of why the Hulk appealed in Avengers was how he bounced off other people. )

Marvel Studios doesn't hold the rights for Namor Unfortunatelly, Universal Studios does. I think that an Atlantean Invasion could be quite interesting for one of the Avengers films, Namor himself was a threat to the team in issues 3 and 4, though they may not be willing to make such a smaller scale story considering how they're going cosmic now.

Namor would be cool in that context. I'm pretty adamant about getting a Kang or Masters of Evil film after the obvious Phase 3 Thanos film.

As an Avengers fan, my dream trilogy was always Masters of Evil > Ultron > Kang. The fact that I'm only getting one of those in this trilogy is a bit disheartening, and I hope that's corrected in future Avengers films.

We may be getting masters in the next film, and i agree about Kang, but i'm sure we'll eventually get there after Thanos, unless Marvel got Galactus back

Not sure what Galactus has to do with the Avengers.

He's a threat to the Marvel universe itself, and wouldn't be a step down from Thanos

I'd love to see Doctor Doom as the villain in an Avengers movie. It'll probably never happen, but it would be cool.

Doctor Doom is a Fantastic 4 villain. Sure he's fought everyone in the Marvel Universe, including the Avengers....but the Avengers has their own brand of unique rogues that deserve to be explored.

True, but in the Cinematic Universe, they can make a character as strong/ weak as they want. Kang doesn't have to be weaker than Thanos.

I would love to see both Doom and Galactus in the MCU someday, but there are still 4-5 great Avengers stories/ vilains left after Thanos. I don't think either character is necessary to keep the ball rolling.

I know, i was just talking about what i think they would do. Either way i would like to see something similar to the Hickman storyline from Ultimate Comics: The Ultimates 1-12 where evil Reed Richard brings a civilization 1000 years more advanced into Europe, leading into him blowing up with the white house. Though instead of an evil Reed Richards it would have to either be Kang or Immortus taking the role.

Wasn't evil Reed Richards basically Ultimate Kang?
