Homecoming MCU Spider-Man Spider-Sense

I had an idea where the everything around him becomes yellow and the threats become white, the brighter the white the more prominent the threat the dimmer, the less threat it is. So a bullet coming at him would appear to be a white flash in contrast to all the yellow that he could easily see and dodge.

I definitely don't want bullet time slow down this time around. I don't mind we the audience gets a audio cue of his sense. I just don't know how best it be to visualize the actual power this time.

Neither do I. I want something new. Maybe something with colors and we see it trough his eyes. If they can get that glimpse of danger or confusion.

Eh, Marvel will come up with something. I just don't know how they can avoid it.

The Amazing Spider-Man's spider-sense was crap. Anything would be an improvement.

TASM didn't even have Spider-Sense. TASM2 on the other hand improved upon that.

No it did. When gwen and peter are outside just after they kiss and right before he goes to the briged there is a spider sense noise.

Really? I never noticed. Why the heck would the Spider-Sense ring off for Lizard attacking a bridge? Shouldn't it ring when Peter's in danger?

While maybe his spider-sense can fell any danger in a sortet distance form him even if the danger is not his danger but just danger in general. But yeah that was like why he like left in the first place.

Oh also in the suwer I think it went off to I think that is why he started to turn around right has the lizards tail started to come around his neck.

on a slightly unrelated note, did anybody ever notice while watching sm3 that there was NO hint of the spidey sense?

I'm pretty sure those were police sirens. EDIT: just watched the scene and you're right. There is a cue when he hears the police sirens.

Yeah there where some police sirens but the sense went off to and sounds a little different then just the police sirens.

While I think there have been some inconsistcys with his sense going off when it should and not going off in the sm movies.

it wasn't in sm3 at all.

MMM I thought I remember it being in there some where. I know one part that bothered me was when harry swops up peter and they have that first fight his sense didn't go off right when he got swoped up. Maybe it didn't sense because him and harry are supposed to be friends lol.

You could see in his facial expression that he sensed something.

It would be annoying if there was a special spider sense effect everytime someone tries to hit him.

Well what ever they do let's hope it's unique and cool.

that's when I noticed it wasn't in the movie at all. not even a hint of it.

There should probably be a sound effect to indicate the spider sense. The one from the 90's cartoon was pretty good. I also like the 'ear ringing' sound they use in the Raimi movies, but I wonder if they could work in a creepy, tingling quality to it. Like that high trickling sound they use in horror movies.
When it comes to a visual representation for the spider sense, I'm not sure if we should see it every time. After all, it's not something that is actually visible to anyone within the context of the movie. But when they do show some visual representation, or an insight into Spider-man's perspective, they should avoid bullet time and go for a quicker more traditional style. They could filter the colours somehow, or otherwise distort the environment in psychedelic ways. They could create a wavy, heat effect around the head, and if the threat is in frame, you could cause it to stand out from the background somehow.

One thing they should think about is how the spider sense actually functions. I imagine it somewhat like the enhanced senses in man of steel. Spider-man subconsciously has an enhanced awareness of his surroundings, but consciously his focus is limited to only certain things. The spider sense is a moment of heightened awareness triggered when his subconscious mind perceives a threat that he is not conscious of. Rather than overload his brain with unnecessary stimulus, his spider sense only communicates information related to dangers in the environment, perhaps because of some chemical response related to fear.

It functions like an alarm, that is triggered by observations outside the human range of perception.

I don't think any movie has done the spider-sense justice. I have to say I really dislike the bullet time effect because that is NOT how the spider-sense works.
The bullet time is more showcasing his REFLEXES and as nothing to do with impending danger.

Dim the background.
Brighten the foreground.
Do squiggly lines.
Flash his eye lenses.

DO 'SOMETHING' other than an arbitrary sound effect and the world slowing down.
Of all the powers Spider-Man possess I think the Spider-Sense is the worst represented on the big screen. They fall over them selves to put CG in every scene and can't make a bog standard Spider-Sense graphic.
