:epic music:
Yes, Disney World. I went back to the happiest place on Earth this past weekend. Turns out when you go, and you're not a kid, it pretty much sucks.
"Holy obvious discovery Batman!"
The reasons I decided to go:
1. It was my 1.5 year old nephew and my 7 year old niece's first time, so I thought seeing them do some of the stuff might be fun.
2. I hadn't done MGM before, thought I should check it out.
3. False hope?
So let's get the obvious crappy crap out of the way:
Being there is like being a cow in a herd. People in funny suits sending you along your way as you fight through the masses of zombie-like humanity...
"Mickey Mousssssse..."
only to get in a line where you wait 30 minutes to an hour and a half (yes, I
did that) to get on your 30 second to a minute ride. Magic Kingdom my butt. Oh and MGM? It sucked too. The Indiana Jones show had some cool stuff, but not enough to make up for the rest of the giant scam that is Disney World. I don't usually have these sort of ideas, but with all the money they spend on Midevil walk-as-you-eat em-turket-legs, the same merchandise in all the stores, and all that other crap, how many people in Africa (or wherever) could we feed? :jaded: It was Florida though, so there was some nice eye-candy walking about. And no I don't mean old people. Short shorts= (but not on old people)
Probably the most fun I had was riding in the car to and from the park playing with my nephew. His favorite "game" was to randomly hit himself in the head. Then try to get me to do it. (hit myself, not him) Though I got a little worried when he made a face at me that seemed to say "how dumb is this guy?"
So, in closing, Disney World sucks. I don't plan to ever go back. I'll keep it a secret from my possible future kids. Like the truth about Santa, and that Barney is gay. I saw he and Big Bird in club once and they--never mind.
Discuss.
