It is strange that she hasn't yet landed that role. I'm not talking about the greatest role ever but a role in which she doesn't play a vamp, a role where the plays the opposite of her image.

You're assuming she's been offered something meatier or pursued something meatier. She may want to be taken serious as an actress but may only be getting nothing but 'hot girl' roles, and if that's the case, then Transformers was the worst thing that could happen to her.

Type casting can be a huge problem but Anne Hathaway got out of her "Princess" typecasting when she landed a role in BrokeBack Mountain and then played in Rachel Getting Married, so there is hope. I think, if Fox wants to be taken seriously, that she should stop acting like a live action Jessica Rabbit, giving stupid interviews and bashing the director who put her on the map.

I just saw a tv spot on tv and, in my opinion, this film looks stupid. I've heard that it's supposed to be a smart and witty horror comedy, but the dialogue like "I though you only kill boys!" and Megan Fox's response: "I go both ways" make this film seem like it was written by a teenager whose jokes only imply sexual elements.

She does tend to put her foot in her mouth, I dare say it will one day come back to bite her in the arse. I think the difference with Hathaway was she was contracted with Disney for her first couple of movies, soon as that was over she got her gear off and played some teen bad girl. As far as I'm aware Fox isn't contracted to anyone in particular. A more comparable person to Fox would be Jessica Biel, she recently stated that her earlier 'hot girl' roles have lead to her being ignored for serious acting work.

I'm thinking Megan Fox's relative lack of anything other than basic acting ability is going to be what makes people ignore her for serious roles. Not just being hot. This isn't a case of a hot girl who is sometimes a great actress. She's got average talent. And that's being generous.

Megan Fox is not a great actor but some of the hate in here is crazy. I would think jealousy and envy are parts of it. She is beautiful, they hate it. I guess they want a nerdy beauty like Olivia Munn, which I would also choose. I loves me some Munn
