I disagree

ROTF redesign of Megs is a vast improvement over the first movie . Also it looks closer to G1 Megatron .

I agree, Megatron definitely looked (and acted, IMHO) much more menacing in the second film. I feel it's a shame, though, that the action was so frantic in this movie that you never REALLY got a good look at him. Although, I will say this, the way the scenes were filmed and edited in TF2 was definitely an improvement over the first film, which had some scenes where I had no idea who was who. That could just be my unfamiliarity with the characters themselves, though, as I couldn't really identify many characters easily, aside from Prime.

I liked the scene after the killing of OP when they meet on the building.

"That went well."
"We lost the boy, master...the Autobots must be shielding their signal."

"I CAN'T EVEN RELY ON YOU TO SWAT ONE SIMPLE INSECT!"
"One insect...among 7 billion..."

When he basically runs his tank treads over SS, you know he ain't ****in' around.

Well, when he doesnt have the claw and just has the two skinny arms, he also has Jetpacks on his back, in his tank mode he doesnt, so IMO, its the jet-packs were he gets the extra mass from.
His right arm (no claw version) is OK i think. The left seems to be pretty weak though.

I think that we saw his normal self this time round. In the first he just came loose after all these years and blasted everything up. The anticipation during the entire movie for his release, the fact that all the autobots combined didnt dare oppose him and how Sam was left alone to run for his life made Megatron look scarier in the first movie for me. Not that i didnt crap my pants when he appeared in the warehouse. If i were Sam i would have died on the spot from fear. Btw, Megan was terrible in that scene. She acted like nothing scary was happening, like watching tv. At least she is pretty! :hehe:

Megatron in whatever form has always been the best leader of the decepticons. In one of the comics in the late 80s the decepticons were lead by Ratbat. Ratbat????:wow: Come on even for G1 standards that was hard to swallow as he was a cassette tape tied to Soundwave. There was even a time with Shockwave in charge in the comics and I hated that as well.

Starscream would make an ok leader but still extremely pale in comparison to Megatron. :whatever:

As for the Beast Wars version of Megatron I thought he was cool and was up to par especially when you realized he was actually at first doing the bidding of the original G1 Megatron. Just have to say loved that they had a refomatted Ravage in the Beast Wars series even if it was just for a little over 1 episode. :applaud

As for the Bay Megatron I think he was very savage and raw in the 2007 movie which fit as he was frozen for thousands of years just to be discovered by humans then was kept on ice and use to start the computer age, a lot of rage would fester in me if I was used that way.

The ROTF Megatron was an progression of the 2007 one as it seems he realizes it take more than raw force to win. But as I said his raw force in 2007 movie was completely understandable and IMHO real.

Megs toying with Sam, being underhanded in fighting Prime in the forrest (by having two of his decepticons in the fight rather than one on one), blaming Starscream for his own failures, deciding it is time to reveal the tranformer race to the world and finally crying for Starscream to help him when he got owned was all definatley G1 Megatron. I loved it! :woot:

Really loved when Megatron got his metal butt kicked and his face half blown off his first response was to yell out "Starscream!":lmao:

Correction. He yelled: "Stwarscwweaaam" :hehe::grin:

Sam should feel honoured that Megatron is interested in him that way... :hehe:

So what's the deal with those pics? Megatron has no leg and he substitutes with that long arm? Wth?

Well after the hasty retreat from the battle in Egypt , a very badly damaged Megatron returns to the armada flagship of the Decepticons : The Nemesis . Where Megs gets all of his limbs repaired after his repairs are done Megatron goes to the stasis pods cargo bay and awakens his new loyal army of Decepticons .

I guess they didn't have enough money to give ILM to render that scene. Which would have been pretty cool if done.

Oh well, next time.

This actually looks like an early render of Megatron's ressurrection and him returning to the ship, he has the exact same parts missing from the end of the first movie so maybe in that render he was rebuilt on the Nemesis rather than on Earth.

All of this artwork is awesome though, thanks Kal.

Look's like the G1 counterpart Megatron's doesn't like his movie counterpart self .

Gotta say I do love that picture, and I would love to them both in a scrap.

Many will disagree, but IMO we have got a pretty awesome Megatron so far, remembering ROTF and watching TF1 again today I have really loved Megatron's role in the movies so far. Not only has he had some of the best lines, he has had some of the best scene's as well. With more to come in TF3, I am more than satisfied so far.

I just hope that the next movie will have a better fighting Megs in one on one combat bcuz eventhough he was able to kill prime he should have been able to go toes wit prime
and be successful

^I think the fact that he was re-built from weaker robot parts means they are now on more of an even keel, I just think in the forest fight Prime had had enough and Sam was the only human about and once he knew Sam was out of the way he could unleash.

One thing I would love to see in TF3 was Megatron is him revealing a plan to betray The Fallen if he had succeeded in harvesting Energon from our Sun.

It would be cool to see Starscream mention follwing The Fallen's belief's or something and Megatron saying "The Fallen was a fool, if Optimus hadnt have ripped out his heart after the machine was destroyed, I would have myself, he would have been no match for me."

I think something like this necessary to show that Megatron was using The Fallen for his knowledge and ability to use The Matrix.

I could go for it. A very in-character line.
