Frank was referenced a couple times, Jays apartment, and a billboard advertising "the dog that speaks" That's all I needed. We had some good memorable aliens in the first movie, and I'd rather they focus more on making more memorable aliens then rehashing the same ones over and over again. Like the second movie. After that I had more than enough Frank, he was annoying as hell in the second film.

The movie was alright. Boris wasn't terribly threatening or funny, kind of inbetween, and so he was "alright" to me.
It didn't make sense that all the aliens on the lunar prison were disguised as humans- why would they bother? The only humans should've been the gaurds, since I doubt a female civilian would be able to visit an alien criminal on the moon, and I doubt they would bother transporting human criminals there. Yet I don't recall any alien looking guys.

And how did Jay not recognize his dad? "He was young" isn't an excuse. He would know what his dad looked like, and what his line of work was. Even if his memory started to fail him on is fathers appearance he would have photographs.

As pointed out before, the movie was super inconsistent with the technology too. First they showed that neurolyzers were giant mechanisms needing an entire room, then a couple scenes later, K has a hand held one attached to a battery pack. Wow, what an amazing leap in technology.

The reason J remembered K needed more explanation. All I recall is one vague cryptic line before he jumped- and it didn't explain anything.

I thought the fight scenes were pretty weak too. Aliens seem to like "throwing" the agents. Always a lazy way out of choreography.

That said, I liked Z's send off, and Brolin was amazing in the movie.
And it was far Superior to the terrible 2nd installment. It was okay.

I wouldn't be adverse to another, provided they put in the same amount of effort that was implemented here, and hopefully a little more attention put into the writing. I'd like to see a human villain next time, like a rogue MIB agent or something.

I REALLY want Alpha from TAS to be the next villain. It would be fresh having a human(ish) villain plus allow for alot of drama with him and K. And be a pretty good opportunity for some awesome Practical/CG effects

from what i understand Alpha is connected to K. i dont think Jones will be in the 4th. he looked very very very old in MIB3.

TLJ was definitely looking much older here, but he still looks to be in reasonable physical shape. He could probably do at least one more MIB movie, maybe two.

Havent seen MIB3 yet so please dont spoil, but what I really want to happen is Josh Brolin be brought into the present, paradox be damned. I'm sure they can write up some type of alien technology that makes it possible.

That way they can continue making more with young K and J. Then the Alpha story will be even more poignant because him training K is still fresh in young K's mind.

If that makes any sense lol

MIB 3 needs to be the last movie. J (will smith) character dies at the end and saves the universe . so it should be the last movie. doesnt make sense to have a 4th movie where they bring him back to life.

:oldrazz::up:

He didn't die:huh:

He was joking.

Either way....SPOILERS!!!!

-DOOM :doom:

Actually, J sleeps with a woman in the past who turns out to be his Grandmother.

that would be the greatest time travel story ever. guy goes into the past, winds up conceiving himself. it defied every law of physics, but hey, so does time travel.

I would like a new trilogy. Tommy Lee can do atleast 3 more films.

Overall I thought it was a decent movie, and I thought it was better than the second movie. Will had a good performance and it was kind of refreshing to see this type of movie.
It might of been a little better if I wasn't so tired when I went to see it as I found myself kind of dozing off a few times. It was a refreshing movie to watch and was worth to see it, not sure about in 3D? I saw it in 2D and didn't see much that would make it 3D worthy??

the 3d was good and again proof that 3D cameras work.

i also understand why the movie is brighter with more saturated colors compared to the prrevious movies. because of the 3D glasses. when i watched the movie with the 3D glasses it looked like the first movie. they made a good job with the lighting at night. no dark shadows. i watched the 3D prometheus trailer and i am scared watching this in 3D with our 3D technology. it was a big problem with Tron since the movie was a big contrast. dark location with dark shadows and bright lights.

not sure what you mean by the first comment - proof that 3D cameras work ~ this movie was shot in film in 2D and converted. If anything it proves that if you plan for 3D [lighting, shot designs, etc.] while shooting in 2D you can make it work.

now that the movie is out which set was rebuilt?

and happy that Rick Baker's aliens were not replaced with CGI.

I don't think any sets were rebuilt - there's so much bs about this movie that is just not true - they were saying there were tons of reshoots when there was less than a week, etc. - just watch the movie and evaluate it for what's on screen, not what you think happened during production, MOST of which has been totally wrong.

Frank the Pug did work a day or two during the shoot, maybe his scene will be on the dvd.

Not sure why the Graffiti Alien was cut out, but I guess it was not missed.

I think there was a shot of Boris with all the weird teeth in the trailer that was in the Electronics store, and that was cut, too.

just that much more for the dvd...!

are you sure? i am 100% sure that they said before filming started that they will use the 3D cameras from Cameron-Pace. Will Smith even filmed a short 3D video

Yes, positive. They tested several 3D rigs months before shooting started, the Spider-Man guys were there watching the goings on, and Barry decided to go 2D for the lenses, etc. There is an interview with him some place on line where he goes into all this. Maybe on another site...

holly s.... .i was tricked thinking that this is a native 3D movie. well i guess 12 months of post production was good since they had time to make a good post conversion. it was not bad 3D.

Is Tommy Lee Jones really only 65? He looked like he was pushing 80 in this!

what????????? only 65? i also thought he was around 80.

Wow, 65. That's surprising to me. I guess that line J had about "road miles" or whatever really fits. Of course, Tommy Lee Jones has always looked old and weathered to me.
