Comics Messiah Complex press conference

Okay, so one editor says the baby is a mutant; the other says it's a possible mutant. I hope they iron out that little contradiction before they print the story.

Alonso said there are four camps for the event: save the baby, control the baby, kill the baby and eat the baby. "This event forces people to forge alliances," he said.

Save: Cyclops
Control: Sinister
Kill: Purifiers
Eat: ???

Nothing new.

Although PAD might've hinted at Jamie not dying? Or the exact opposite, lol. :D

I really wanna know what's up with the cannibalism, too. :D

It does set up that Scott and Sinister are the two main "camp" leaders.....I didnt know that. Kind of obvious though.....

What, you didn't actually buy any of that crap about Storm or Cable being actual contenders? :D

If they bring back Madelyne Pryor as the Goblin Queen I am going to be soooooooo pi$$ed!

I can't think of why anyone will want to eat the baby.

Sugarman...oh wait..he's dead...or is he?

There's a thought...

Beast/Dark Beast want to "eat" the baby. They're the fourth party in this twisted tale, now aren't they?

No, I actually thought it was gonna be Beast and Cyclops.....

I get the feeling that while Beast may schism from Cyclops over the course of the story, he's not really going to be a group leader.

The leader is probably Sinister, but the meaning of Hank joins the other side would definitely shook Scott and others more.

Hmm.

They definitely seem to be leaning towards a number of X-Men eventually joining Sinister because they think he's the best hope or something.

I just hope that if they take that route they do it right. What do I mean?

I'd want both ideologies presented fairly. Marvel tried to do a superhero split with Civil War, and it turned into a cluster**** because they made it painfully obvious that we were supposed to think Iron Man and his crew were at fault at all times.

With this I'd like to see Sinister's goals at the very least presented in a fair light. Yeah, I know he's evil. But that's all the more reason for Marvel to give any heroes that join him a concrete, acceptable reason for doing so.

I think the one wanting baby back ribs is going to be Predator X, from the New X-men book.

Eh, if he was from New X-Men then he doesn't really matter... :woot:

Okay, so I'm biased.

And I feel like when they say "eat" it really means absorb or some other interpretation... Not eat in the literal sense.

The panels themselves:

Looks like Angel does show up in the crossover. Looks like he was trying to BS Sinister about something. The art makes Sinister look more disheveled than he should be. Sinister has always been immaculately dressed, it's part of what makes him so creepy.

I'm guessing that's Wolfsbane getting capped, Maddrox freaking out with who knows sneaking up behind him, and some guy with a porn stache working on a computer. Bishop seems to be fighting off a Sentinel while Cke checks on a KO'd Emma.

Looks like Logan and Kurt got their asses kicked. Probably during the Antarctica fight we saw in the #205 scan.

Predator X eats some guy Marvel doesn't want us to know the identity of. Maybe it's the baby's father?

5_t.jpg

Looks like Xavier's having one of his periodic bouts of villainy again.

Hard to make it out, looks like Wolvie getting blasted by some huge energy beam from above. Maybe a Sentinel?

That's Wolverine in the panel with Nightcrawler. His costume is torn, since you can see regular flesh on there, not Beast's fur.

I thought that was a torn lab coat or something.

Oh...who's that poor guy got eaten, hope he isn't alive when Predator X is doing it.

The second pic probably explains why we still don't get our Scott/Xavier moment.

I love all those panels, they look amazing, even the Predator X ones (it looks like Ramos did it). I think the guy Predator X is eviscerating might be Logan. Didn't they say something about Messiah Complex defining Wolverine's healing factor or did I dream that lol. Anyways, if it's Logan he'll be back in a couple of minutes, it's not like he didn't survive Nitro and his explosions.
