Great Cold Distance is probably the last album I listened from them. It sounded like a mix of Tool and Opeth. I'll have to give it another listen.I decided to skip them on this tour even though I haven't seen them since Dead End Kings or Fall of Hearts (I forget which tour). Love the band but they have been on a downward spiral for me and I think their newest one is their weakest album (sadly) and City Burials is their 2nd weakest. Sky Void of Stars was slightly better but still in the bottom third of their discography.
It's a shame because their earlier stuff is so great and I consider Last Fair Deal > Viva Emptiness > Great Cold Distance > Night is the New Day > Dead End Kings to be such a great run.
First two albums are easily their best for me.
